On June 3rd, 2007, the unveiling ceremony of the bronze statue of Comrade Wu Hongxiang was held in Pan Jing Central Primary School in Shanghang County. Gao Hu, former vice chairman of Fujian Provincial Political Consultative Conference, Yin Feng, wife of Comrade Wu Hongxiang, Chen Wanli, deputy secretary of CPC Longyan Municipal Committee and organization minister, and more than 200 representatives of retired veteran comrades in this county and cadres and students from Panjing Town attended the unveiling ceremony. Lin, Vice Governor of Fujian Provincial Government, former Deputy Secretary of Fujian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, former Vice Chairman of Fujian Provincial Political Consultative Conference, relatives of Comrade Wu Hongxiang, various teams in Longyan City and Shanghang County, and provincial, municipal and county old promotion associations presented flower baskets.

At the unveiling ceremony, participants also visited the exhibition hall of Comrade Wu Hongxiang's life story and his former residence in Pan Jingyuan Kang Village.
