Zheng Zhuanggong in history
Zheng Zhuanggong was born (757 BC-70 BC1year), the monarch of Zheng State in China in the Spring and Autumn Period. According to Historical Records Chronicle of Twelve Governors, he was born in Zheng Wugong in the 14th year (757 BC).

Zheng Zhuanggong succeeded his father Zheng Wugong and became a courtier of Zhou Pingwang. Later, Zhou Pingwang favored Guo Gong, and the relationship between Zheng Zhuanggong and Zhou Dynasty began to deteriorate. During the reign, Zheng was very strong, and many wars took place, including the rebellion launched by Ji Duan, the younger brother of Zhuang Gong, and the battle that defeated other allied forces led by Chen, Cai, Guo and King Huan of Zhou. The latter, in particular, established Zheng's position as a "bully" and confirmed the weakness of the Eastern Zhou regime.

Zheng Zhuanggong liked his son very much. With the intervention of Song Heqi, the civil strife in Zheng lasted for twenty years after the death of Zhuang Gong. There are four sons, who successively served as monarchs, namely, Prince Hu (Zheng), Tu () and Heying (Ziyi). Finally, Zi Yi was killed, the restoration ended, and his descendants succeeded Zheng.

Ascend to the throne early

Ji Yusheng is the eldest son of Zheng Wugong and his wife Wujiang (Fan Yuan may be Ji Yusheng's half-brother). Ji Duan is Ji Jian's half-brother. Ji Yusheng was born with his feet out first, which caused dystocia, so he was named Ji Sheng. Because of the dystocia at birth, Jiang's family was frightened, so Jiang didn't like him and loved his younger brother Uncle Duan. In 744 BC, Wu Gong was seriously ill. Wujiang repeatedly said uncle Duan Xian in front of Wu Gong, "I want to be a prince and a husband." (historical records? Where is Zheng? In the twelfth year, Wu Gong died of illness, and he was born to inherit the throne. This is Zheng Zhuanggong.

In the first year of Zhuang (743 BC), Wujiang requested the land (now Sishui Town, Xingyang City, Zhengzhou City) as an uncle's fief. Zhuang Gong said, "There is no way, because the terrain in the city is dangerous and it is a military location related to national security." The military commander changed the tyrant Zhuang Gong to seal Beijing (now southeast of Xingyang, Zhengzhou City) as the Shu land. Beijing is the city of Zheng, with high walls, large population and rich products. Zhuanggong refused in his heart, but because of his mother's request, he had to agree. The doctor advised Jin Zhong, "Beijing is bigger than the capital, so it can't be used as my brother's fief." Zhuang Gongzheng: "This is the request of Jiang Mu's family. I can't help but listen! "

After Duan Shu arrived in Jingyi, he was called Uncle Jing. With the support of his mother Jiang, he never cared about respecting the monarch and governing the people. Instead, he recruited soldiers, reinforced the city walls, hoarded food and grass, trained, stepped up his expansion, and conspired with his mother Wu Jiang to attack Zheng from the inside.

Knowing that his mother was extremely unhappy about his succession, he also knew who he was and Duan Shu's plan to seize power, but his face did not change color. Duan Shu's abnormal behavior in the capital caused people's discussion. The doctor Jizhong said to Zhuang Gong, "All the capital cities are surrounded by walls of more than 300 feet, which is the scourge of the country. Therefore, according to the former king's system, fiefs should not exceed one-third of the state capital, one-fifth of the medium-sized ones and one-ninth of the small ones. Now that the capital is illegal, how can you tolerate it? " The landlord said helplessly, "Jiang Jia wants it, how to prevent harm?" It means that if Chiang Kai-shek wants to do this, where can I avoid this disaster? Ji Zhongdao: "When will the Jiang family be satisfied? It is better to find a place for Uncle Duan as soon as possible to prevent him from developing and spreading. Once it spreads, it's difficult to deal with. The spreading weeds are still hard to get rid of, not to mention your beloved brother? " Duke Zhuang said, "If you do more injustice, you will die. Let us wait and see. "

Zhuanggong gave in again and again, which made Duan Shu's ambition to usurp the country and call you a king grow day by day. Soon Duan Shu ordered the western and northern borders to obey himself at the same time. Then he brought two small towns near Jingyi into his jurisdiction. Lu, the son of the doctor, said to Zhuang Gong, "One country cannot have two monarchs. What will your king do? If you want to give up your throne to your uncle, I will serve him; If not, please get rid of him and don't let the people have second thoughts. " Zhuang Gong said tepidly, "There is no need to get rid of him. Without justice, it is impossible to win the hearts and minds of the people. He will be in trouble sooner or later. "

Duan Shu repeatedly challenged Zhuang Gong's authority, but he was patient again and again. Does he really believe that God will do it without doing it himself?

Punish uncle Duan? That's not true. This is because Zheng Zhuanggong, as a king of a country, can't put his feelings on his face. More importantly, Zhuanggong knew that if he started work too early, he would be talked about by outsiders, saying that he was unfilial and unjust, so he deliberately let Duan Shu's plot continue to be exposed. In the twenty-second year of Zhuanggong (722 BC), with the encouragement of his mother Wujiang, Duan Shu personally led ten thousand soldiers to attack Zhengdu, and Wujiang was ready to open the city gate to meet them. The landlord got a tip-off on the day when his uncle left, saying, "It's time to start work!" "Is he ordered his son led 200 chariots to crusade against Duan Shu. Jing Yi people heard the news and rebelled in succession. Duan Shu fled and rushed out of the city (now northwest of Yanling County, Henan Province). Zhuanggong attacked Yancheng again, and Shu Duan fled to the Republic of China (now Huixian County, Henan Province) to take refuge. Therefore, in history, it is also called Uncle's Day as a common Uncle's Day.

Zhuang Gong was very angry with his mother Wujiang. In a rage, he expelled her from Beijing and placed her under house arrest in Cheng Ying (now northwest of Linying County, Henan Province). Swear: "It's better to be buried in peace and never meet again!" (Zuo Zhuan Zang Yuan) But Wujiang was his mother after all, and Zheng Zhuanggong soon regretted it. He missed his mother and didn't want to break his oath, so he built a high earthen platform. When he missed his mother, he stepped onto the stage and looked in the direction of Cheng Ying. Later, people called this rammer "Wang Mu Tai". (now the south bank of Xinzheng River in Zhengzhou City)

Uncle Ying Kao, who was in charge of border affairs in Yinggu at that time, saw through Zhuang Gong's mind and gave him an idea by giving him a gift. He said, "Although you swore an oath, it is not difficult to really see the old lady. Who says not? " ("Zuo Zhuan" hides Yuan) Zhuang Gong was very happy and asked Uncle Won to handle this matter. After the tunnel was dug, Zhuang Gong met his mother underground and sang with great emotion: "In the big tunnel, it is also enjoyable. "Mother and child feelings have recovered.

Zheng Zhuanggong successfully handled internal affairs, realized the unification of national strength, and thus laid the foundation for the hegemony of the Central Plains. At that time, Zheng Zhuanggong was an official in Zhou Pingwang with great power, which also created conditions for him to crusade against disobedient governors in the name of Zhou Wang. Before 72 1, that is, the year after Duan Shu's rebellion was put down, he sent troops to attack neighboring countries and embarked on the expansion of Zhang Zhilu.

Zhou's royal family moved eastward, mainly relying on the strength of Zheng and Jin, so Zhou was closely related to Zheng. However, with the growing prosperity of Zheng, Zhou Pingwang was worried that the power of state affairs would be manipulated by Zhuang Gong, so he deliberately weakened Zhuang Gong's power and prepared to hand over some affairs to Guo Gong. Zhuang Gong resented Wang Ping, who was afraid of Zhuang Gong and had to deny it. But Zhuang Gong didn't believe it, so "Zhou Zheng made an oath", that is, each gave his son as a hostage to the other side.

In the twenty-fourth year of Zhuang Gong (720 BC), Zhou Pingwang died and King Huan of Zhou succeeded to the throne. Duke Zhuang sent troops twice to forcibly cut crops at room temperature (now wen county, Henan Province) and Zhou Wang, Chengzhou (now Luoyang East, Henan Province) to demonstrate. King Huan of Zhou was very angry with Zhuang Gong and took a tough attitude towards Zheng Cai. Before 7 17, when Zheng Zhuanggong was in the Zhou Dynasty, King Huan of Zhou was deliberately rude to him, thinking that he was taking revenge. Later, Guo Gong was appointed as the right prime minister of Zhou Shi to carve up the power of Zhuang Gong. The scheming and resourceful Zheng Zhuanggong realized that it was not good for him to make friends with the royal family at this time, so he adopted a forbearing attitude. At the same time, we will strive to expand our territory and become stronger.

Your own strength. 7 14 years ago, the Beirong tribe invaded Zheng by taking advantage of years of melee in the vassal states of the Central Plains, and personally led the army to resist. At that time, the northern soldiers were brave and good at fighting, and the terrain was not conducive to Zheng's battle. Zhuang Gong is very worried. Gong Zitu made a detailed analysis of Rong Jun's weakness of "light but incomplete, greedy without relatives, winning without letting go, and not saving each other", and thought that the method of luring the enemy into ambush should be adopted to annihilate them respectively. Zheng Zhuanggong thought the plan was very good, so he ambushed in three places and ordered the doctor to lead a brave but not strong army to fight first, and then pretended to retreat as soon as he contacted the enemy. Melting ice was trapped by Zheng Jun, because he didn't know it was a trap. Zheng's three ambushes divided the Rongjun into several sections and attacked them, making them unable to care for each other from beginning to end. Zhu Kun led the troops to fight back, causing a situation of attack from front to back. The follow-up troops of Beirong could not be rescued, and all the former troops of Beirong ambushed by Zheng Jun were annihilated.

Before 7 12, King Huan of Zhou tried to maintain his kingship. He exercised the emperor's right to seize the fief in two weeks, and exchanged twelve towns of Su's family that did not belong to the royal family for ten towns of Zheng, so that Zheng actually lost four towns. Later, Zheng Zhuanggong was simply dismissed from his post as Zuo Qingshi, so Zheng Zhuanggong didn't go to court.

707 years ago, King Huan of Zhou unified the forces of Zhou Jun and Chen, Cai, Guo and Wei against Zheng. Lead the doctor to offer sacrifices to Zhong and Shang Qumi. Ge (now north of Changge County, Henan Province) lined up to meet the enemy. At that time, Zhou Jun was divided into three armies, led by King Huan of Zhou and conquered by Chen's army. Zheng Zhuanggong arrayed himself and named it "Yuli". The chariots rushed forward, followed by soldiers. First, Chen Jun, who was the weakest, was attacked, so that our troops withdrew from the battlefield in panic, and then concentrated their forces to attack Zhou Jun from both sides and was defeated. King Huan of Zhou was shot in the shoulder by Zheng Jiang and managed to command the army to escape from the encirclement. Zhu Yong tried to capture King Huan of Zhou alive, but Zheng Zhuanggong stopped him and said, "Gentlemen don't force each other, let alone bully the son of heaven. We are self-defense, and it is enough for the country to avoid danger. " After the war, in order to show respect for the king, Zheng Zhuanggong also sent doctors to offer sacrifices to the injured King Huan of Zhou and his entourage.

Ge? Battle, make weeks prestige,. Old enemies such as Song, Wei and Chen came to make peace, and Zheng became the most powerful vassal state in the Central Plains at that time. 70 1 years ago, Zheng Zhuanggong formed an alliance with the governors of Qi, Wei and Song, and became the overlord of the governors.

Zheng Zhuanggong had a brilliant career. During his reign, he defeated the allied forces of Zhou, Guo, Wei, Cai and Chen and the allied forces of Song, Chen, Cai, Wei and Lu successively. The court was strict, invaded Chen, and won a great victory; Cutting Xu, catching interest, conquering Beirong, losing the attack and winning the battle can be described as outstanding achievements. At the same time, Zheng Zhuanggong is a politician with strategic vision, skillful tactics and good diplomatic skills. His extraordinary political talent is also an important reason why he was able to dominate the Central Plains during the Spring and Autumn Period.

Rebellion in the period of ordinary uncle

Immediately after Zheng Zhuanggong acceded to the throne, he took Beijing as the fief of Ji Duan, who was called Uncle Beijing. The doctor offered sacrifices to discourage Zhuang Gong, but Zhuang Gong did not listen. Later, the big uncle strengthened his strength, and the doctors such as Gongzi Lu also discouraged Zhuanggong. Duke Zhuang told them that even if Duan had the strength to launch a rebellion, he didn't have to worry about whether he was fair and unpopular. In 722, Duan colluded with Wujiang to launch a rebellion and was defeated by Zhuang Gong.

Zheng Zhuanggong hurriedly brought her mother to Ying and vowed never to meet her again. Later, Zhuang Gong regretted it. Uncle Ying Kao, the hero of the British emperor, remonstrated with Zhuang Gong, so Zhuang Gong dug into the spring and met his mother.

Diplomatic relations

Relationship with the Eastern Zhou Dynasty Court

Zheng Zhuanggong's grandfather Zheng Huangong was Stuart of the Zhou Dynasty, and his father Zheng Wugong was also an aristocratic scholar in Zhou Pingwang. When he inherited his father Zheng's throne, he also inherited his father's courtier status. Later, Zhou Pingwang reused Guo Gong, intending to promote him to share the power in Zheng Zhuanggong. Zheng Zhuanggong was very dissatisfied with King Zhou, who immediately clarified the matter and took Prince Fox to Zheng as a hostage. Zheng also sent Prince Ji into Zhou as a pledge, which was called "the Covenant" in history.

720 years ago, Zhou Pingwang died, and the Zhou Dynasty prepared to appoint Guo Gong to take over from Zheng Zhuanggong. [3] This year, Zheng State successively harvested warm wheat and Zhou's grain, and the relationship between Zhou and Zheng further deteriorated. In July17, when he entered the DPRK, King Huan of Zhou was not treated with courtesy because Zheng took the lead to take the wheat from Ji Wang. [4] Zheng Zhuanggong is dissatisfied with Zhou Wang's practice. Two years later (7 16), he exchanged territory with Lu without telling (the agreement was implemented in 7 1 1 year), but he joined the DPRK in the same year.

706 years ago, King Huan of Zhou regained his power in the Zhou Dynasty and did not appear before him, so King Huan of Zhou organized an alliance to attack Zheng, but he was defeated by Zheng. It's for the battle of Gege. Since then, there has been no large-scale contact between Zheng Zhuanggong and the Zhou Dynasty. ~~
