Shu Qingchun (1February 3, 899-1August 24, 966) was born in Beijing, China. He is a modern novelist, a famous writer, an outstanding master of language and a people's artist. He is the first writer in New China to win the title of "People's Artist". He is the author of novels such as Xiaopo's Birthday, A Tale of Cat City, Biography of Niu Tianci, Camel Xiangzi and short stories such as Fair. Lao She's literary language is unpretentious, humorous and full of Beijing charm.

In 930, Hu Jieqing was studying in Beijing Normal University, and her mother was afraid that she would delay her lifelong events because of this study. Mr. Luo Changpei, a linguist, is a friend of the Hu Qing brothers. Once, he went to Hu's house to play, and Hu's mother asked him to help him find it. At this time, Lao She had just returned from London to write works, so Luo Changpei introduced Lao She to Hu Mu. Hu Mu was very happy when he learned of Lao She's talent and personality. He privately set up a son-in-law, so he discussed with Luo a careful plan to let Lao She meet Hu Jieqing.
