In 930, Hu Jieqing was studying in Beijing Normal University, and her mother was afraid that she would delay her lifelong events because of this study. Mr. Luo Changpei, a linguist, is a friend of the Hu Qing brothers. Once, he went to Hu's house to play, and Hu's mother asked him to help him find it. At this time, Lao She had just returned from London to write works, so Luo Changpei introduced Lao She to Hu Mu. Hu Mu was very happy when he learned of Lao She's talent and personality. He privately set up a son-in-law, so he discussed with Luo a careful plan to let Lao She meet Hu Jieqing.
