Compared with the above-mentioned northwest areas, there are some walnuts in Shanxi that are remarkable. Prince hat, official hat and lion head in Shanxi are also traditional fine varieties. In particular, the quality of walnuts produced in mountainous areas near Hebei is better.
Autumn walnuts are mainly produced in Northeast China, Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning. Jilin's output and quality are better. In fact, walnuts in Northeast China are not as famous as walnut wood. What we know as "Qiu Zi Wood" is a tree that produces walnuts in Qiu Zi. Wood is hard and beautiful, and most of it is used to make furniture legs.
Juglans mandshurica is produced in the southwest and southwest of China. Among them, Wan Wen's old iron is mainly concentrated in Yunnan. Pinggu, Beijing: Walnuts in Pinggu were the main producing areas of walnuts in Wan Wen in history. First of all, because it is close to Beijing and Tianjin, the main city of walnut in Wan Wen, it is located in the middle of the two cities. Walnuts are also easy to circulate. The most famous lion head is the four buildings we talked about. This tree is dead. Many century-old lion heads that we have seen are the products of this tree. Due to the development of grafting technology, grafted varieties (also called the fourth floor) appeared, but the appearance still lacks the charm of the old tree, and the appearance is still somewhat different from the old tree. In the next few years, some blunt lion heads will be grafted on Pinggu. In addition, the official hat of Pinggu is also very famous, which is a traditional appearance standard. Because it is basically wild, the yield is not high and the size is not big. Some lion heads produced in Pinggu can also be seen in the market. The main characteristics are hard cortex, good grain surface, big belly and big foundation.
Laishui, Hebei Province, was destined to become the most important area affecting the national walnut market about ten years ago. Because the soil and climate are very suitable for planting Wan Wen walnuts, people of insight began to brew and plant them more than ten years ago. By the end of 20 12, the largest walnut planting base in Wan Wen was formed in China, centering on Seshu Village in Shi Ting Town, Nan 'anzhuang in Loucun Township, Huguozhuang, Xi 'anzhuang, Taiping Zhuang and Chang 'anzhuang. More than 10 thousand walnuts have been grafted, including chicken heart, lion head, tiger head, male hat and other varieties. Maisui Tiger Head, White Lion Head and Laishui Male Hat are all varieties in this area. In Seshu Village, Shi Ting Town, the whole village is planting walnuts, and Chang 'anzhuang, a neighboring village, has also formed a walnut base in Chang 'anzhuang, forming a complete industrial chain. In recent years, it has become a real landscape in Wan Wen walnut market.
Mentougou is also the main walnut producing area in Beijing, with many excellent varieties, mainly lion head and tiger head. The yield is not high, especially 20 12. In the case of high yield of walnuts in China, the yield of Mentougou is flat. People born and raised in Mentougou know the value of walnuts in Wan Wen best, and farmers in the mountains can almost say it clearly. Because the climate and soil are very suitable for planting walnuts, a large number of grafted walnuts have appeared in Mentougou since 2008. The local people generally have a high understanding of the value of walnuts, which leads to the nursing of grafted walnuts becoming a very important issue. Mentougou's stuffy pointed lion head is also gone. Different from Pinggu's stuffy-pointed lion head, Mentougou's stuffy-pointed lion head is more poetic, with rosy and beautiful color, chrysanthemum pattern at the base, small navel and short shape. Other varieties are rare.
Jixian county, Tianjin is the only producing area of walnut in Tianjin, and it is also the main producing area of 20 10 grafted walnut. Walnuts in Jixian County have rough and beautiful appearance and clear lines. Because it is geographically adjacent to Pinggu, Beijing, the characteristics of walnuts are similar. Traditionally, the hats of Panshan Mountain in Jixian County are the most famous. Panshan doll hat (including triangle doll hat) is the doll hat of Lao Sun's family. Personally, I think it's more appropriate to call it "Jixian prince hat", and its appearance is relatively high. There are very few people over 40. In addition, the lion head of Ma Laosi and the tiger head of Huangyaguan are also famous. Due to the variety, there are several varieties of lion head, so I won't introduce them here.
Chengde, Hebei Province is also the main producing area of traditional Wan Wen walnut, but it has been neglected in recent years, which may be the reason for the decline in output. Chengde produces excellent varieties such as lion's head and soft hat, as well as Qiu Zi. Lion head, large base, short shape, large abdomen, slightly shallow lines and few big heads. Traditionally, Chengde doll hat is also very famous, but it is rare in recent years.
There are many wild pecans in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province. Because of the inconvenient transportation, few people know and find them, and they have great potential. The most famous stone lion head in Nanjiang, Zhuolu County, is rough in appearance, exquisite and meticulous in decoration, with a large buckle bottom, a diamond navel and four petals. Its characteristics are obvious and its output is scarce. In recent years, it has become a very popular variety. As far as I know, Zhuolu County also produces tiger heads and other kinds of lion heads, all of which are of good quality, but the awareness is not high.
