1966 graduated from the Department of Architecture of Tsinghua University.

1966 to 1975, the 27th Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the Equipment Technology Research Institute of the China People's Liberation Army.

1975 after job-hopping, he served as president of Wuhan Architectural Design Institute, deputy director of Wuhan Urban and Rural Construction Committee and director of Wuhan Planning Bureau.
