When will the planning of Liu Lihe Ruins Park begin?
In order to protect the historical and cultural characteristics of the city, this year's government work report proposes to start the relocation and emptying of Xidou site. A few days ago, Guo Yanhong, deputy secretary of Fangshan District Committee, district head and representative of the Municipal People's Congress, revealed in an exclusive interview with reporters that the Liu Lihe Archaeological Site Cultural Park, which consists of the site itself and the site museum group, will be built. At present, the park planning is under preparation, and the first draft is expected to be released by the end of this year.

"The discovery of the Zhou Yan Dou site in the west of Liu Lihe River can be traced back to the history of Beijing's construction more than 3,000 years ago. It is regarded by historians as the starting point of the development of the ancient city of Beijing and is known as the' source of Beijing'." When talking about the Zhou Yan Dou site in the west of Liu Lihe River, Guo Yanhong said, "Compared with similar sites at home and abroad, the Zhou Yan Dou site in the west of Liu Lihe River has extremely high historical value, scientific value, cultural value, artistic value and social value, which needs further archaeological excavation."

She revealed that the demolition and vacating plan for two villages in the core protection area of the site is currently being formulated, and the relocation work will start this year. At the same time, Fangshan District has begun to actively connect the national cultural center with the construction of Xishan-Yongding River cultural belt, fully tap the cultural connotation and historical details of Liu Lihe site, and scientifically protect the precious historical and cultural heritage. Under the guidance of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics, Fangshan District is organizing professional forces to prepare the Liu Lihe Site Protection Plan (20 16 -2035) and the Liu Lihe Archaeological Site Park Plan.

"In the future, we intend to build a Western Zhou Yan cultural heritage park consisting of the site ontology and the site museum group, making this internationally influential world cultural heritage a new landmark of the capital culture." Guo Yanhong said that around Xidou Ruins Park, Fangshan District has also started the construction of forest wetland park, and the construction of Yongding River waterfront forest wetland park is also advancing.

It is understood that Fangshan District's current vision is to build Liu Lihe Yanzhou Ruins Park as the core, supplemented by wetland parks, supporting commercial facilities, tourism service facilities, modern agricultural economy and other projects, and to build Fangshan District's humanistic and natural tourism base within the scope of Liu Lihe Ruins, combined with relevant archaeological achievements such as tomb excavation, and form a tourist destination with cultural, historical and ecological values in Beijing.

"We hope to build an international tourism and leisure area integrating historical, cultural and geological relics, and turn the Yan Dou site of the Western Zhou Dynasty in Liu Lihe into a bright pearl on the Xishan-Yongding River cultural belt." Guo Yanhong said, I hope people will come here to visit not only cultural relics and historic sites, but also ecological parks, so that cultural relics can truly travel through time and space between green mountains and green waters.

The site of Yan Dou in the Western Zhou Dynasty, located in the west of Liu Lihe, Fangshan District, has a history of 3063 years. It was the original capital of Yan State in the Western Zhou Dynasty from 65438 BC to 0045 BC, and it was the only archaeological site in the Western Zhou Dynasty where the city site, palace area and vassal cemetery coexisted. After years of excavation, the site not only found the city site, but also excavated the tombs of the nobles of Yan State, and unearthed a number of bronzes engraved with the inscriptions of Yan Hou, thus confirming that it is the capital of Yan State, an important country in the northern part of the Western Zhou Dynasty, and also the earliest witness of the establishment of Beijing.
