Introduction of Chongwu Ancient City
Chongwu Ancient City 1 is located in the southeast seashore of Hui 'an County, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, bordering the Taiwan Province Strait. It was built in 1387 (twenty years of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty) and was built by Xiahou Zhou Dexing to resist the Japanese invaders. It is the most complete existing T-shaped stone ancient city in China, and it is one of more than 60 Weifang castles built by the Ming government in Wan Li to fight against the Japanese aggressors. 1988 was listed by the State Council as the third batch of national key cultural relics protection units, the first batch of "national defense education bases" in Fujian Province and the first batch of "patriotic education bases" and "national defense education bases" in Quanzhou. At the same time, Chongwu also has Chongwu Coast, which is known as "one of the eight most beautiful coastlines in China". Chongwu Ancient City is located at the southern end of Chongwu Peninsula, 24 kilometers southeast of Hui 'an County, and is a prominent part of Quanzhou coastal area in Fujian Province, between Quanzhou Bay and Meizhou Bay. It is close to the Taiwan Province Strait, also known as "Lotus Island". Founded in 1387, it is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction integrating coastal scenery, historical sites, folk customs and sculpture art, and is known as "natural studio" and "South". Chongwu Ancient City is the only complete stone city in Ming Dynasty in China, a relatively complete historical relic in the history of coastal defense in China, and a "national key cultural relics protection unit".
