1898 was born in Qiyi Town, tanghe county.

19 16 was admitted to Peking University Preparatory College. 19 18 to study in colorado school of mines.

192 1 graduated from colorado school of mines, USA.

1923 graduated from Columbia university graduate school with a master's degree.

From 1923 to 1927, he taught at Zhongzhou University (now Henan University) in Henan Province, and served as a lecturer, professor and head of the Department of Geology.

1927 to 1929 as the technical director of Guangdong-Guangxi Geological Survey.

1929 participated in the 4th Pan-Pacific Science Conference held in Batavia, Java (now Jakarta).

1929 ——1933 Professor of Beiyang Institute of Technology.
