1979 graduated from the English Department of Xi 'an International Studies University, and was assigned to teach at Yan 'an University in the same year.
1982- 1984 studied at the graduate school of northern Illinois university and obtained a master's degree in linguistics.
1986 was promoted to associate professor.
1992- 1994, visiting professor in sophia university, Japan, adjunct professor in Yamanote English College, Japan. 1994 Assistant to the President of Yan 'an University.
1996 was promoted to professor, and in the same year he served as vice president of Yan 'an University.
1999 "On-the-job Training for University Presidents" by University of Technology Sydney and Charles Stett University.
In 2000, Huazhong University of Science and Technology was studying for a doctorate in higher education, and in July of the same year, he served as the deputy director of the Education Department of Shaanxi Province.
From 200 1 to 2002, I studied at the University of West Virginia.
In April 2008, he served as Party Secretary of Xi 'an International Studies University.
From August 2008 to February 2009, he went to Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University as a senior visiting scholar.
