He became an associate professor in July 2002 and a professor in July 2004. In 2003, he was awarded the title of Top Ten Outstanding Young People in xidian university, the title of Excellent Teacher in xidian university in 2002-2003, and the grant from the New Century Excellent Talents Program of the Ministry of Education in 2006. At present, he is the third academic leader in xidian university and the first batch of "High-level Talents Development Support Program" (three people in total). His research interests include radar imaging, target recognition, sky-wave over-the-horizon radar signal processing, and he is the head of the radar imaging research group of xidian university State Key Laboratory of Radar Signal Processing.
