Damdin Su Rong began to learn Manchu and Mongolian at the age of seven or eight. Because of his good writing style, 14 became a pen holder. 18 years old, officially joined the army and mastered some military knowledge. Damuddin Su Rong is not only a writing expert, but also a "sharpshooter". At that time, Heilongjiang provincial officials appreciated him very much, and then in 1908, when the "provincial leaders" took Damuding Surong to Beijing to see the emperor, it happened that Emperor Guangxu had just died. Although the emperor didn't meet him, he met the Mongolian prince Kharkatushitu Khan Handa Dorg and became friends. The two agreed that the current Manchu government was corrupt and incompetent, and its national strength declined, which was the best opportunity for Mongolians to rise. Because in 1905, the Manchu government suddenly adjusted Hu Ba's Eight Banners policy in Hulunbeier and began to cancel the autonomy of Hu Ba people. At the same time, Han immigrants were sent to Hulunbeier to be officials and reclaim grasslands. This move made the people of Hu Ba very dissatisfied, and also laid the groundwork for Hulunbeier's independence in 19 12. After arriving at their destination, they were in no hurry to attack. Damdin Su Rong believes that the number and equipment of the China army in Cobdo are superior to those of the Mongolian army, and it is not easy to move. They surrounded the city of Kodo, effectively cut off the food supply of China's army, successfully repelled the China army (many of whom had received formal military training in Japan) who came to reinforce from Urumqi, and got some guns, ammunition, food, silver, camels and war horses. During this period, Damdin Su Rong pieced together many soldiers from Dulbert, Altay and Wulianghai, Tang Nuo. At this time, the number of Mongolian troops has reached 5000.
19 1 1 When the Revolution of 1911 broke out, Mongolia declared its independence. Su Rong, Danding of Hulunbeier, immediately held a secret meeting with Chen Balhu and Elute, decided to join Mongolia and distributed leaflets. 19 12 1 Damuddin Surong actively participated in and organized the occupation of Hailar, Manzhouli and other places. Soon, the China army was driven out of Hulunbeier. Since then, the region has gained de facto independence. After high-level consultations, Hulunbeier authorities decided to send a delegation led by Damdin Su Rong to Kulun (now Ulaanbaatar) to submit an application for joining Mongolia. The Mongolian government agreed to the above application. Damdin Su Rong was also awarded the title of Duke of the Auxiliary Country by the Cullen authorities, and was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Liberate Cobdo.
At first, the garrison of Khalkha Mongols in China was mainly concentrated in Kulun, Ur Asia Pacific and Cobdo. After independence, the Mongolian government issued a circular ordering the three garrisons to withdraw from Mongolia within a certain period of time. Subsequently, the troops stationed in Cullen and Urya Tai Su successively withdrew unconditionally. However, only the Cobudo garrison not only ignored it, but also constantly recruited troops from Urumqi and other places, trying to establish a base area in Cobudo in order to stubbornly resist and even recover the whole territory of Mongolia. The Mongolian government immediately sent people to discuss the withdrawal with China officials. However, the two envoys, Rahaba Jabb and Tem urchin, never came back, only knowing that they had been killed. The failure of the peace talks forced the Mongolian government to consider using force to occupy Kodo.
The reform plan was frustrated.
After returning to Karen, Damuddin Su Rong began to concentrate on reforming the army. Because the national strength was weak and the population was sparse at that time, it was urgent to strengthen the national defense force to cope with the China army that might make a comeback at any time. He asked all young men over the age of 20, whether prince or poor, to perform military service (five-year system). After the expiration of his service, he was allowed to leave the military camp and lead a normal life as a militia (aged between 25 and 50). In case of emergency or war, you must report back to the barracks. Damdin Su Rong also specially called some officers and men from various regions to Cullen for military training. After the training, these officers and men will be issued with their own league flags, and then they will be trained in the spring and autumn for one month. In addition, the suggestions mentioned in his two special letters to the Mongolian emperor, such as properly developing agriculture, exploiting mineral resources, inviting foreign experts to learn to manufacture guns and ammunition, sending overseas students, uniformly issuing Mongolian coins, economic construction, tax reform, reducing the burden on herders, reducing the funds for religious activities, and legislating to abolish torture in Qing Dynasty, all involved many fields. However, the reformist Damuddin Su Rong's useful suggestions were not adopted by the feudal government. The reason is very simple, Mongolian feudal princes are afraid of being bad for themselves. In this regard, Su Rong is also very helpless.
