Qi Jianmin, male, from Zichang, Shaanxi, party member, CPC. Born in 1948. 1968 graduated from Yan 'an Normal School. He has served as a music teacher in primary and secondary schools, a music and dance cadre in cultural centers, deputy director of the county bureau of culture and education, and director of the county bureau of culture and sports. Member of Shaanxi Musicians Association and Shaanxi Folk Writers Association. Nearly 1,000 folk songs in northern Shaanxi have been collected, and more than 400 songs have been included in China Folk Songs Integration, Complete Works of Northern Shaanxi Folk Songs and Yan 'an Folk Songs Integration. More than 60 songs, such as Running in the Sun and Yangko Love, have been published in national, provincial and municipal journals or won prizes in provinces and cities. He is the author of Zichang Folk Music (Volumes I and II), Zichang Folk Culture and Art in Written Form (Volumes I and II), Zichang Folk Life Narration and Happy Songs.
