Tianzhu Temple is located at the southern foot of Tianzhu Mountain in Shengzhou City, Zhejiang Province. There is a valley about 5 kilometers long in the northeast of Tianzhu Mountain, where ancient trees are towering, bamboo forests are everywhere, and rocks are rugged on both sides. The stream in the ditch winds into the stream. There is a winding mountain road in the valley, passing through villages such as Xie Yan and Baiyan, and winding to Tianzhu Temple. In the valley next to the highway, the terraced fields are spectacular, and only birds can be heard. There is no noise and dazzling noise in the street, forming a quiet world outside the dust.

A strange stone called Anchan Stone was found in Tianzhu Valley, which is a quiet place of Buddhism. Eighteen eminent monks and eighteen scholars in the Eastern Jin Dynasty once lived and traveled here and built temples and sacred places of Tianzhu. It is a mountainous, quiet, misty and picturesque place. Wang Xizhi, Xu Xun, Dai Kui, Li Bai, Du Fu, Lu You and other eminent monks have all come here to travel, visit the holy land and linger, all of which are expressed in poetry. Bai Daoyou said in his poem, "Even the peaks are dozens of miles". Li Bai said in his poem, "Love famous mountains and enter deep mountains". In Du Fu's poem, he said, "Tunxi is so different that you can't forget it." Lu You said in a poem, "I miss the wind. It's my second time in the county." Famous mountains are like tall people, so I can't see them for a long time. "The temple was built in Jin Shi Tianfu seven years (943), named Ximingyuan. According to "Old County Records", 47-year-old Jingshi Zhanggang Shiye now lives in Ximenyuan, Biexing County, called the abbot, and was given a plaque by Tan Li, the magistrate of a county. In the Song Dynasty, the amount was changed from now to later. After five years in prison, Ye Mengding, the right prime minister of Shaofu and special envoy of Tang Dynasty, damaged Jin Buzhai. The fifth Sun Ren donated more than 300 mu of land as a temple. Jingtai was rebuilt in three years. By the early Qing Dynasty, the temple was magnificent. Hundreds of monks and nuns recite scriptures and say things all day long, burning incense and worshiping.

At present, there are three well-preserved stone tablets on both sides of the mountain gate, one of which was erected in 22 years of the Republic of China (1933). The inscription outlines the grand occasion of the rise and fall of the foundation, burning incense and worshiping the Buddha and ancestor. The other two are Ximingyuan and Inscription, which were supplemented in the 27th year of the Republic of China (1938).
