Halfway Couple is a family ethics drama directed by Peng Sanyuan and starring Sun, Sun, Sun, Sun, Sun, Sun, Sun, Sun, Sun, Sun, Sun, Sun, Sun, Sun, Jin Lili and Lin Yuan. September, 2005 17 premiered in Nanjing TV News Integrated Channel Boutique Theater and aired in anhui tv on June 8, 2006.

The play tells the story of Guan Jun who was imprisoned for helping his accomplices commit crimes and betrayed by his relatives and friends after his release. With the support of the policewoman Hu Xiaoling, he got back together and fell in love with each other.

Five years ago, (played by Sun) illegally operated with Tao Zi, a Taoist brother, and violated the national law. Loyal to others, Guan Jun took the crime and went to prison. Tao Zi swore to give him a sum of money after he got out of prison.

Time flies. After he was released from prison, Guan Jun happily came to the commercial building run by Tao Zi, but was turned away by Tao Zi. Guan Jun's blood suddenly froze, and he cursed Tao Zi. He was treated with beatings, breaking his head, humiliation, chagrin and hatred.

Tao Zi, full of abuse marks, has obvious evil marks, is heartless and lawless. Okumo, a gangster, came to Guan Jun again and tried to bring him in again. Under the influence of Hu Xiaoling, Guan Jun agreed to become an undercover and joined a gang organization, which was eventually destroyed.
