After entering a space, select the entered space, press Ctrl+U to add an underline, position the cursor before the underline (that is, after "city"), press the right arrow key twice to move the cursor two places to the right, move the cursor to the underline, press the Insert key to enter "Rewrite Mode", and then enter text (such as "Shanghai").
Tip: By default, some versions of Word will not enter the "rewrite mode" by pressing the Insert key, so you need to check "Use the Insert key to control the rewrite mode".
If you don't want to press Insert to enter "rewrite mode", you can check "Use Insert key to control rewrite mode" and then check "Use rewrite mode".
It is worth noting that this method can only extend the underline within the range of the number of input spaces, because each word will replace a space, that is, the space will occupy the space for text input in advance. Spaces are divided into half-width spaces and full-width spaces. If you want to type Chinese characters on the underline, you should enter a full-width space ""in advance, or enter a half-width space (turn off Chinese input and press the space bar).
In addition, the method of inserting a tab stop has the same effect as this method, but the step of inserting a tab stop is more troublesome. A similar function can be achieved by using Text Fields. For versions of Word above 2007, the "Text Field" is in the "Old Tools" of the development tool, and for versions of Word 2007, the "Text Field" is in the "Tools" of the form.
2. Method 2: Use.
Select the Insert tab, click the shape, select the straight line under the line in the pop-up menu, hold down Shift, move the mouse to the starting point of the line to be drawn, hold down the left key and drag to the right to draw a straight line. It is not convenient to adjust the line height by drawing a straight line instead of underlining. When adjusting the line height, the straight line will stay in the same place, which will lead to confusion in typesetting and it will be more troublesome to readjust the line.
In addition, with tables and text boxes, although only one bottom edge can be reserved, typesetting is not easy.
