The eighth leading group of chinese basketball association consists of 28 members, who were elected on February 5, 2007. Yu Zaiqing, deputy director of the State General Administration of Sport, was elected as the chairman, Zhang Faqiang, former chairman of the Basketball Association, became honorary advisor, and Yang Boyong and Qian Chenghai, former vice-chairmen, also became advisors of the Basketball Association.

Zhang Xiong, director of the national team management department of the Basketball Management Center, Xiao Hongan, director of the development management department, Gong, director of the comprehensive department, minister of training and scientific research, and Hao Guohua, director of the league office, are deputy secretaries-general.
