Let the Bullets Fly is a feature film directed by Jiang Wen and starring Jiang Wen, Chow Yun Fat, Ge You, Carina Lau, Chen Kun, Zhou Yun, Liao Fan and Wujiang. It was released in Chinese mainland on February 6th, 20 10. The film tells the story of Zhang, the mafia boss, who became the official "Mabond" as the magistrate of Goose City, and launched a fierce battle with Huang Shilang, the bully guarding Goose City.
Xiaohua is played by actor Zhou Yun, and the strange girl in the Sunshine Building opened by Huang Shirang has a unique drumming skill. His temperament of getting out of the mud without dyeing not only attracted Zhang, but also fascinated his little brothers.
Film evaluation
"Let the Bullets Fly" shows the audience that it is indeed a work created completely under the cartoon animation thinking. It can't be said that the wonderful pictures full of imagination are all due to the comic style, but the utopian world, those exaggerated and symbolic characters, and those absurd and unconventional plots can all be reasonably developed with a comic-like naive logic.
