National Liuyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (Changsha National Bio-industrial Base) is a national bio-industrial base approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in June 2006, with Liuyang Biomedical Park in Hunan as the core area. It is the only national bio-industrial base in the central and western regions and an important electronic information industrial park in Hunan Province. 2065438+March 2, 20021,the State Council was approved as the national Liuyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, and the relevant national park policies were implemented. This is the third national economic development zone approved by Changsha.

Liuyang Economic and Technological Development Zone takes Biomedical Park and Yong 'an Manufacturing Industrial Park as its core, with an annual industrial output value of 36 1/and a fiscal revenue of1.27 billion yuan. Among the 577 enterprises registered in the park, 23 have tax revenues exceeding 10 million yuan, and three listed enterprises, Yongqing Environmental Protection, Erkang Pharmaceutical and Lance Technology, have been cultivated.

On February 28th, 2007, Zhou Qiang, Governor of Hunan Province, presided over a special meeting on the development of Changsha National Bio-industrial Base, and established a leading group for the construction of Changsha National Bio-industrial Base, with Xiao Jie, executive vice governor of Hunan Province, as the leader and Gan Lin, executive vice governor of Hunan Province as the deputy leader, which confirmed the leading position of Changsha National Bio-industrial Base in the bio-industrial field of Hunan Province. In March, 2008, Hunan Provincial Editorial Office officially approved Hunan Liuyang Biomedical Park Management Committee to join Changsha National Bio-industrial Base Management Committee. At present, Yu Laishan, executive vice governor of Hunan Province, is also the leader of Changsha National Bio-industrial Base Construction Leading Group.
