The public security frontier forces are not only active forces that undertake the functions of public security management and criminal justice, but also public security law enforcement forces that implement the armed police system and enjoy the treatment of the People's Liberation Army. It is mainly deployed in coastal areas, entry and exit ports and territorial waters, with a staff of more than 654.38+10,000. The Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China leads the construction of frontier defense forces in a unified way, and is responsible for the establishment, funding, equipment and personnel. The Ministry of Public Security has an active service office to undertake active public security work, and the Ministry of Public Security exercises the power of appointment, dismissal and reward at the corps level.
