Amazon China female executives are about to leave, and used to be Bezos' "shadow consultant".
/kloc-In August of 0/7, Amazon confirmed on Monday that Wei Gao, the female executive of its grocery store business, was about to leave. She used to be the "shadow consultant" of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

Wei Gao recently served as vice president of non-staple food technology, products and supply chain. During Amazon 16 years, she held several positions, including the Kindle of Amazon e-reader and the senior position of inventory planning team, and then became the vice president of forecasting business.

According to Wei Gao's profile on LinkedIn, a professional social networking site, Wei Gao served as his "shadow consultant" during his tenure as CEO of Amazon from July 20 18 to June 2020. These "shadow consultants" usually play a respected role in the company. Wei Gao is one of only two female executives appointed as Bezos' "shadow consultant" in Amazon.

Amazon confirmed that Viagra will officially leave on September 17, but did not disclose its whereabouts. Wei Gao's departure has intensified the recent changes in Amazon's leadership. Last week, Amazon confirmed that its cloud business executive Charlie Bell would leave the company. Jeff Wilke, CEO of Amazon's global consumer business, resigned earlier this year. Wilkie was once considered as one of Bezos' successors, but Bezos handed over the position of CEO to Andy Jassy, the head of cloud computing, in July.

Recently, many high-profile female executives have also left Amazon. In March last year, Maria Renz, Amazon's vice president in charge of delivery experience, left to join online finance company SoFi. Prior to this, Lenz was Bezos' first female "shadow consultant". In April this year, Splunk, a monitoring and security software company, said that it hired Amazon executive Teresa Carlson as president and chief growth officer.

Wei Gao's departure comes as Amazon faces criticism for its white and male executives. Last August, Alicia Boler Davis, the company's vice president of global customer fulfillment business, was appointed as a member of "S-Team", an influential senior management team that directly reports to the new CEO Jia. Davis was the first black woman to join the "S Team".

In addition to Davis, there are three other women in Team S, namely Beth Galetti, vice president of human resources, Colleen Aubrey, vice president of effect advertising, and Christine Beuchamp, vice president of Amazon fashion. (small)
