China news agency, Beijing, September 1 Sunday (Zhou Ganxian, Ma Xiuxiu) The first plenary meeting of the 10th Committee of the China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese was held in Beijing a few days ago. The meeting adopted the election method of the National Committee, the list of the chairman and scrutineers of the National Committee, and the list of candidates for the chairman, vice-chairman, secretary-general and standing committee of the 10th Committee of the China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. The meeting elected Wan Lijun as the new chairman of the China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese by secret ballot. Wan Lijun, a native of Dalian, Liaoning Province, 1957, was born in July, and returned to China after studying in Japan. He used to be director of Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, director of Molecular Science Center, China Academy of Sciences, president of University of Science and Technology of China, and vice chairman of China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (part-time). On may 20 17, he was transferred to the post of party secretary of China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and on June 20 17, he was elected as the chairman of the 9th China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. The China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese also elected 18 vice-chairmen, namely: Lu Wenduan, Zhu Yilong, Liu (female), Qi Quansheng, Li Bo, Li Zhuobin, Wu Jing (female), Yu, Shao (female), qi zhou and Zhou Jiannong. Chen Mai was appointed Secretary-General of China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. The meeting also elected 159 standing Committee members of the 10th Committee of the China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.
