People's Republic of China (PRC) Trade Union is a mass organization of the working class led by China, a bridge and link between the Party and the working class, an important social pillar of state power and a representative of the interests of its members and workers.

Trade unions are mass organizations of the working class, which emerged and developed in the struggle between the proletariat and the bourgeoisie. The interests of the working class and the bourgeoisie are antagonistic. In the struggle against capitalist oppression and exploitation, the workers realized that they must unite to meet the needs of the struggle against the bourgeoisie, safeguard their own interests and win the struggle. Trade unions can represent and safeguard the interests of workers in various ways to varying degrees, solve the competition among workers through internal coordination and mutual help, strive for and safeguard the interests of workers, improve their working and living conditions, play a role in the political life of the country, and strive for the social and political interests of workers.

In the historical process of developing socialist market economy and speeding up socialist modernization, China trade unions must "take Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory as the guidance, take the party's economic construction as the center, adhere to the four cardinal principles, adhere to the basic line of reform and opening up, fully perform the social functions of trade unions, better express and safeguard the specific interests of workers and staff while safeguarding the overall interests of the people of the whole country, unite and mobilize the workers and staff of the whole country to stand on their own feet and work hard to build China into a rich and powerful country."
