Osvaldo gimenez (1September 5, 959) is a retired Uruguayan football player, who is currently a coach and manager. He served as assistant coach and head of the coaching staff of Uruguay national team for seven years, and went out with the team in the 2002 World Cup.

1998 as head coach of Tianjin TEDA team; In 2005, he was the head coach of Shanghai United City Team. After the merger of Shenhua United City before the 2007 season, gimenez became the first head coach of the new Shanghai Shenhua, leading the team to win the A3 league championship in 2007, but left because of poor league results.
