Songshan, with a total area of about 450 square kilometers, consists of Taishi Mountain and Shao Shi Mountain, with the highest peak of1512m. East-west stretches for more than 60 kilometers; Zhengzhou, the provincial capital in the east, Luoyang, the ancient capital in the west, Shuiying in the south and the Yellow River in the north. Located in the central plains, it was called "foreign party" in ancient times, "Gaosong" and "Chongshan" in Xia Dynasty and "Shitian Mountain" in Western Zhou Dynasty. After King Ping moved his capital to Luoyang in 770 BC, he was regarded as "in the middle of heaven and earth" with Song as the center, Dai on the left and Hua on the right, and was called Zhongyue Songshan Mountain. The main peak, Ji Junfeng, is located in Taishi Mountain, with an altitude of1491.7m; The highest peak, Liantian Peak, is located in Shaoshi Mountain, with an altitude of1512m. There is a bird's-eye view of the Yellow River Luoshui in the north of Songshan Mountain, opposite to Shui Ying and Jishan in the south, connected to the Five Dynasties side beams in the east and Luoyang in the 13th Dynasty in the west. Known as "the two famous cities of Bianluo and the famous mountain of Guinea". It is the first famous mountain in the Central Plains, because it has strange peaks and many temples.
More than 30 emperors and 150 famous literati visited Songshan Mountain, which is a paradise for immortals to meet and talk. There is a famous saying in The Book of Songs, "Gao Song Yue Wei was the third runner-up".
