105 Jinan guided missile destroyer, the first guided missile destroyer built in China, is a first-class (05 1 model), manufactured by Dalian Shipyard, started on February 24th, 1968, and was launched on July 30th, 1970.

1987 105 ship dismantled the back deck 1 76 type 58 times caliber 130mm double-barrel naval gun, two 6737mm double-barrel naval guns and two 1 25mm double-barrel naval guns, and added a deck on the main deck to install a 65438. Two domestic straight -9 anti-submarine helicopters can be parked. There is a flight deck 25 meters long and 12.8 meters wide behind the hangar. The flight deck is equipped with a harpoon helicopter landing aid system imported from France, and facilities such as aviation fuel tank, oil pump tank, water washing tank and aircrew cabin are added to ensure the safe take-off and landing of the Zhi -9 anti-submarine helicopter and enhance the anti-submarine capability of the ship.

After modification, the Jinan ship was converted from the original first-class ship to a second-class ship. Jinan ship is the only warship in the second-class guided missile destroyer that can carry helicopters.
