Fang Jizhong (1923- 1987) is a native of Mianxian County, Shaanxi Province. 1946 studied painting from Zhao Wangyun, and 1950 is an art teacher in primary and secondary schools. Later, he worked in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region Federation of Literary and Art Circles-American Trade Union and the Fine Arts Department of the Northwest Ministry of Culture. He used to be the editorial director of Northwest Pictorial.

Fang Jizhong is one of the representative painters of Chang 'an Painting School. Long-term engaged in China landscape painting, flower-and-bird painting, calligraphy creation. He made great contributions in the transition period from traditional Chinese painting to new Chinese painting, and devoted his life to the creation and research of tradition and innovation. His works have participated in many national and international art exhibitions and held solo exhibitions. His works have been published in many art magazines.

1953: The work "Yunheng Qinling" was selected for the first national art exhibition and was collected by China Art Museum. 1954: His works The Last Road and The Corner of Qinchuan participated in national art exhibitions successively.

1955: The work Windward Willow was collected by China Art Museum and published in Art magazine.

1957: Creation of Huashan Mountain in Xiyue, Great Hall of the People.

1958: The work Night Crossing was published in Art magazine.

1959: The work "You Lin" participated in the exhibition of the first Vienna International Fair in China. The work "The Valley in Early Winter" appeared on the back cover of PLA Pictorial.

196 1 year: Dozens of works participated in the "Exhibition of Chinese Painting Research Office of Xi Artists Association" held in Beijing.

1962: The work went to Shanghai Film Studio to do background design for the animated film Moody (Li Keran designed characters). The film won the international gold medal of Andersen's fairy tales in Denmark. 1963- 1965: He created a large number of works, such as Mountain Spring, Snow in the Mountain, Spring in Pinghu, Spring in the Wild, Lantern Festival, etc.

The "Cultural Revolution" began at 1966. He was criticized, entered the "bullpen" and stopped writing for four years.

1970: The whole family was sent to Baishi Commune in Yangxian County, Shaanxi Province to work in the mountains during the day and steal paintings at night. During this period, I drew a lot of sketches, often studied calligraphy and made a lot of poems.

1976: Yi An's group paintings participated in the first national art exhibition after the Cultural Revolution and appeared on the back cover of People's Pictorial.

1977: More than ten paintings for foreign embassies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Published many works such as Ode to Huangshan Mountain.

1978: People's Fine Arts Publishing House published a single oil painting "Spring Dawn in Kunlun". Back to Shaanxi to preside over the work of Shaanxi Artists Association.

1979: Made a snow Ji map of the ancient city for the Great Hall of the People. China Art Museum collects dozens of works such as "A glimpse of Shu Dao".

1980: Go to Shanghai Animation Film Studio to design the background of deer bells.

198 1 year: The work "Spring in the Mountain" was selected for the first exhibition of Chinese Painting Research Institute. 1982: Art magazine published the work Holland. Led the Shaanxi calligraphy delegation to Japan to hold a calligraphy exhibition and served as the head. Shaanxi People's Publishing House published Fang Jizhong's Painting Collection.

1984: The work "The Sandbird Dating Party" participated in the 6th National Art Exhibition and won the Excellent Works Award. Tianjin People's Fine Arts Publishing House published Fang Jizhong's Painting Collection.

1985: led the Shaanxi painting and calligraphy delegation to Japan to hold a painting and calligraphy exhibition, and served as the head. Go to Hong Kong to hold "Shaanxi National Art Exhibition". The work "Good Lotus Outside Hongliutan" participated in China Modern Art Exhibition. People's Fine Arts Publishing House published Fang Jizhong's Painting Collection.

1986: Tianjin People's Fine Arts Publishing House published Rock and Tree Techniques. The work "Journey to the Desert" participated in the art exhibition of five northwest provinces.

1987: Participated in "Zhao Wangyun Teachers and Students Exhibition" and exhibited more than 30 works. He died on July 18.

1988: The Japanese Imperial Capital Painting and Calligraphy Institute published a collection of works of Fang Jizhong Ink and Wash Exhibition.

1992: Rong Baozhai Publishing House published Rong Baozhai's painting spectrum-scenery part-Fang Jizhong.

1995: Rong Baozhai Publishing House published "Fang Jizhong Painting Collection".

2005: Rong Baozhai Publishing House published a collection of Fang Jizhong's essays.

2006: Rong Baozhai Publishing House published "Fang Jizhong Painting Collection".
