Personal experience:
Because of her mother's early death, Lin Daiyu was brought up and educated by the Jia family, lived with the Jia family and Baoyu, and died of her father. From then on, she lived in a patron's house and developed a aloof character. After her mother came back in spring, Lin Daiyu stayed in Xiaoxiang Pavilion, was nicknamed Princess Xiaoxiang in the Grand View Garden Poetry Society, and wrote poems to express her true nature.
