College students have made great achievements in extracurricular scientific and technological activities. In the national and Guangxi "Challenge Cup" extracurricular scientific and technological works competition for college students, "Electronic Design Competition" and "National Mathematical Modeling Competition", 150 people won grand prizes, including 6 first prizes, 65,438 second prizes and 5 third prizes. The eighth and ninth national "Challenge Cup" competitions won the second prize of the National College Student Design Competition in 2007 and the second prize of the second Freescale Cup National College Student Smart Car Competition in South China 1 in 2007. In 2008, the third "Freescale" Cup National Smart Car Competition for College Students won two second prizes in South China Division. In 2008, he won 2 first prizes, 7 second prizes and 9 third prizes of/kloc-0 in the second Guangxi Electronic Design Competition for College Students, and successfully entered the competition. The College won the Excellent Organization Award, Teacher Zhang Lieping won the honorary title of Excellent Competition Organizer, and two teachers, Cheng Xiaohui and Chen Xiaoqin, won the honorary title of Excellent Instructor.

On July 20 10, in the 5th Freescale Cup Intelligent Car Competition for College Students, four teams from our college won two second prizes and two third prizes in South China Division. 20 10 September, our college won the first prize of 1 0 and eight second prizes in the 4th Guangxi Electronic Design Competition for College Students.

The results of the 5th National Freescale Cup Smart Car Competition for College Students (South China Division) were announced. 270 college students from 67 universities in Hubei, Jiangxi, Hunan, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Hainan, Sichuan, Chongqing and Guizhou participated in the competition. Under the guidance of Xiao Hongxiang and Xin Li, teachers Huang Peng, Huang Yongyuan and Kang Yanping of our school won the second prize in the electromagnetic group with strong hands after fierce competition. Under the guidance of, Luo and Ma Changjian from the School of Mechanical and Control Engineering won the second prize in the Optoelectronic Group; Under the guidance of Shen Xianhao and Yang Jiazhi, Liu Shaohuan, Meng and Jiang Huanfeng won the third prize in the Optoelectronic Group. Lu Shunqin, Liang Liling and Mo, who were instructed by teachers, won the third prize in the photography group.
