Dad is an outstanding party member in China, a tried and tested proletarian fighter of our party, the founder and one of the main revolutionary base areas in northern Shaanxi during the Red Army period. His revolutionary career of more than 50 years has experienced many vicissitudes and weather-beaten. Many leading cadres are full of admiration when talking about Dad, praising him for being loyal and honest to the party and the people, being fair and decent, approachable, being strict with himself, being lenient with others, conducting in-depth investigations in his work, seeking truth from facts, being persuasive to comrades, being tireless in teaching others, being hard-working and honest.

Up to now, many comrades still cling to him, thinking that he is not only a good leader, but also a good teacher and elder.

Dad is old party member who joined China on 1925. When he was the chairman of the Soviet government in northern Shaanxi, the white terror was very harsh. Because of his father's revolution, his family and relatives were threatened with beheading and death. He put his life and death aside and gave everything to the party. He often went deep into the white area to mobilize the masses against the enemy, persisted in the revolutionary struggle, and passed by the house many times without entering. He also wrote a poem: "it's not that children are unfilial, but the responsibility is extraordinary." There is nothing to go home, everything must be dedicated to the party. " Long-term and arduous revolutionary struggle has created Dad's selfless, fearless, open-minded and indomitable revolutionary struggle spirit.

During the Cultural Revolution, it was a period of confusion between right and wrong, and my father was framed. Lin Biao, Kang Sheng and the cronies of the Gang of Four in Liaoning colluded with each other, branded him a "traitor", framed him with inhuman punishment, illegally detained his father and brutally persecuted him for seven years.

At the strong request of our family, the Xinjiang Horse Team finally agreed to let us visit our father. My wife and I took two children and finally met my father who missed me day and night. He became an unkempt, ragged, staring, unstable and scrawny old man. We never thought it would be like this, but for a moment we were shocked. Our hearts were strangled with knives. Lin Biao and the Gang of Four tortured my father, which is hard to express in words.

We cried "Dad" and knelt before him in tears. His old man lifted us up with tears in his eyes and said, "Don't be sad, it's not easy to come once. Let me have a good look at you. " We helped dad sit down and asked him why there were only a few teeth left in his mouth. Dad put his mouth to my ear and whispered, "Abortion." We were heartbroken, but dad comforted us in turn and said, "Nothing. They can knock out my teeth, but they can't knock out the truth. The irrationality of hitting people. "

1On March 9th, 973, we visited my father for the second time, and we found that he had cut his hair and beard short. Although the length is uneven, he still looks a little refreshed. He also said humorously, "I want to leave a good impression on my granddaughter." A remarkable feature of dad's work style is that he is hands-on and conscientious. Many of his articles and important reports were drafted and written by himself after he went to the grassroots to investigate and study cadres and the masses. It turned out that a guard named Hui who followed him told us a story with reverence-

From 65438 to 0948, he followed his father to work in Xing County, Shanxi Province. Along the way, they ran from morning till night, investigating and studying day and night. In the evening, the section chief has to personally prepare the next day's work report and often work all night. At first, the guards were able to hold on, but later, when they were tired, their eyelids fought. I don't know when I fell asleep When he woke up, it was already dawn, but his father was still sitting at his desk writing materials.

At this time, Commander He Long (then commander of the Jinsui Military Region) came in and asked his father with great concern: "You didn't sleep all night, did you?" Dad said, "Time is tight. I sorted out the materials for the meeting. " At this time, the guards embarrassedly lifted the quilt covered by his father, stood up and gave a salute to Commander He, who jokingly said, "Well, the old horse worked as a guard for Xiaohui all night." The guard bowed his head shyly. The doorman sighed with emotion: "This kind of thing often happens. The head is both my leader and my elder. "

When my father presided over the work of the Central Organization Department and the Ministry of Finance and Trade, he often said to the cadres, "If you want to be proficient in business, you can't be a leader." He advocated that cadres become experts within three years, and everyone is an economist, and personally formulated a plan to train cadres to become experts. Dad often repeatedly stressed that financial and trade work must start from developing production, support and promote production, and serve industrial and agricultural production and people's lives. He also said: "Developing production is the only way to lead the masses to gradually get rid of poverty and become rich."

He took the initiative to apply to the central government to lower the wage standard.

Father is honest and self-disciplined, and never cares about personal reputation. 1952, the original cadre supply system was changed to the salary system, and the salary level given to him by the central government was set at administrative level 3. After 1954 was transferred to the central government, he was very upset to learn that many central ministers and even deputy prime ministers were paid less than him. He took the initiative to write an application to the central government, demanding that the salary level be changed from three to four.

From 65438 to 0954, my mother was transferred to the Secretariat of the Central Office, and later transferred to the General Party Branch of Zhongnanhai as a full-time job.

Cadres and members of organizations have worked for seven years around the highest central government. But my father never asks about my mother's work and never talks about anything my father does at home.

I remember my mother asked for leave several times on 1965 and took her sister Xiao Fang to see a doctor in other places. After coming back, my father said, "If you don't work hard this year, don't pay. Let's pay party dues for this year's salary. " So my mother gave all her salary for one year to the party group leader. This incident has given our whole family a profound education.

Dad is also strict with us at ordinary times. He never allowed us to have the superiority of Gao Qian children. He often emphasizes that the interests of the party and the people are above everything else, and never allows family members to take advantage of the public. When I was in middle school, my father bought me a bike specially. It is clearly stipulated that no one in the family can use the car allocated to him by the state for personal use. Once I came home from school because my bike was broken and I didn't repair it in time, so I called the driver to pick it up. My father gave me a good scolding. To this end, dad also made self-criticism at the party group meeting, asking secretaries, guards, drivers and managers to supervise him and his family.

1965 at the beginning, my father was very happy when I got married. He called us specially to congratulate us and advised us to keep everything simple and not to make a fuss. But we can't figure it out. A big cadre like dad, his son is still so stingy when he is married.

Not very decent. After knowing this, my father called us and said, "Now the country is not rich, and people's lives are still very hard. Children of cadres should share weal and woe with the people, not spend money lavishly. "Under the guidance of my father, our marriage has no secrets, and we have not invited guests to accept gifts. We just pasted the word "Xi" in red, the family had a light meal and then got married.

He takes time out every day to teach the guards to read five words.

We are strict with our comrades in our work, but we are very concerned about them in our political life. All the comrades who have worked beside him say that Dad is a very amiable person. Working beside him not only makes me feel kind, but also makes me learn a lot. One of his guards used to be a shepherd boy and couldn't read. In those days, my father took time out of his spare time every day to teach him to read five words. I also made a literacy plan for the guards. As long as he makes a little progress, my father will be very happy. He also said humorously, "In a few years, your education level will be higher and higher, and you will become a college student, higher than my education." With the encouragement of his father, the doorman's enthusiasm for learning increased and he was finally able to write simple letters. Dad was very happy and specially gave him a pen he had used.

Comrade Xin Ping, an orderly who followed him for many years, asked to go to school for further study when he was old. His father warmly supported him and held a farewell party for him when he left. Give him learning tools to encourage him, and tell him: "Don't leave the impression that all leading organs are down wherever you go in the future. Be strict with yourself and treat others with sincerity. " Xin Ping was implicated in ten years of turmoil. He took great risks to wrap dozens of photos of his father, put them in a porcelain jar, stuffed them into the wall and sealed them with mud. After smashing the Gang of Four, he personally handed us the photos. The profound friendship between cadres and the masses and their fathers with their lives is an example for us to learn forever.

Dad has left us for 35 years. His life is a life of fighting, a life of selfless dedication and a life of ups and downs. The Party and people have not forgotten his great achievements in establishing the revolutionary base areas in northern Shaanxi and his outstanding contributions to the founding of New China and the building of a socialist country. 1980 June 14, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China approved the report of the Central Organization Department and the General Political Department on rehabilitating the "Xinjiang Maming Plan", knocking down all false slanders, completely rehabilitating and restoring the true colors of history.
