Now he is the director, researcher and doctoral supervisor of the Institute of Toxicology and Medicine of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences. In 2000, it was named "Science and Technology Silver Star" by the General Logistics Department. At present, he is a member of the national ministerial-level new drug evaluation committee, a national 863 expert in bioinformatics, a member of the national evaluation committee for studying abroad at public expense, a member of the professional committee of medicinal chemistry of Chinese Pharmaceutical Society, a core expert of Beijing Biotechnology and New Pharmaceutical Industry Promotion Center, a chief expert of Beijing Pharmaceutical Molecular Design Center, a director of Beijing Chemical Society, a member of American protein Society, and a part-time doctoral supervisor of Shenyang Pharmaceutical University. Four postdoctoral students (two out of the station) have been instructed, eight doctoral students (four graduates) and seven master students (three graduates) have been trained. As the main person in charge, he undertakes national "863", "973", national outstanding talent fund and other scientific research projects. Won two second prizes for military scientific and technological progress. At the same time, he presided over the clinical application of 5 new drugs and applied for 22 invention patents. In 20001year, this comrade won the National 863 Plan 15 Anniversary Contribution Award, the 8th China Youth Science and Technology Award, the Practical Engineering Award for Seeking Outstanding Youth, the 1st prize of the 8th Five-sheep Prize in Pharmacy, and the 1st prize of the 6th German Standard -CCRF China Prize in 2005.
During the research of innovative drugs based on structure, a new method combining computer-aided drug database screening and design with functional area identification of biomacromolecules was developed, and a set of innovative technologies and methods from protein to polypeptide to small molecule drug design were established and explored. The main achievements of the research have been published in the world's influential core academic journals, such as Proc Natl Acad Sci USA and J Biol Chem, which have aroused extensive international concern and evaluation. Science Daily Insight published an evaluation article entitled "A Shortcut for Quick Gold Rush". Chemistry &; Engineering News also published a special review article entitled "protein Interaction Implied by Small Non-peptide Compounds". Jefferson Alumni Bulletin published a special comment on "Rational Drug Design: Transforming Basic Research into New Medicine", and made an important evaluation of this research achievement. Because of its novelty in computer-aided drug design, new drug screening and development based on target protein structure, the editors-in-chief of some important academic journals wrote to invite him to write a review on the latest progress in this research field. The above research achievement 1999 was awarded the "Outstanding Achievement Award" by the Lee Foundation of the United States.
