At the beginning of the project, the creative team and Guo Yunming and Zong Yuan, two cadres who have lived in forestry, combed and summarized the stories, thoughts and feelings of Yichun local forestry in different historical periods through production construction, reform and opening up, green transformation, artistic processing and script creation.

In order to ensure the authenticity, rationality and drama of the creation, the creative team visited Ma Yongxiang Memorial Hall, Museum and Archives for many times, visited forestry workers and their relatives and friends, and went to local forestry bureaus and forest farms to learn forestry professional knowledge and consult historical contributions.
