Li Hang's artistic evaluation
What China values most in his paintings is the word "quality". From the ancient painting theory "painting" to Qi Baishi's old man's emphasis on "what is precious is the soul", it shows that "painting" is as important as "character". For Chinese painting, it is reflected in two aspects: "artistic conception" and "pen and ink" Artistic conception is not a simple representation of the painted object, but the author's understanding of the painted object, which itself embodies the mind and perspective formed by cultural literacy; Pen and ink is not a simple artistic skill, but the artistic foundation and style gradually formed by the author in absorbing the essence of various schools and hard training. Without these two things, it is not enough to discuss China's painting art. Looking at Li Hang's paintings, we can see that his artistic realm is both ordinary and individual. There are many similarities between Li Hang's flower-and-bird paintings and Li Kuchan's works, which is natural, because father and son have been caring for each other for many years, how can they leave no trace? Therefore, Li Hang's ink painting art, whether painting or accumulating ink, always has Ku Chen's magnificent visual feeling.

Art needs innovation, and this innovation has to endure many repetitions and setbacks, so the word "new" has brought pain and suffering to every explorer. Li Hang is well aware of this. In order to explore the new style and charm of flower-and-bird painting, on the one hand, Li Hang learned from his father's profound painting and calligraphy art, on the other hand, he consciously absorbed the artistic essence of masters Xu Qingteng, Badashanren, Wu Changshuo and Qi Baishi, and studied under many Chinese painting masters such as painter Xu Linlu and artist Ling Zifeng. Finally, he can transform the ancient method into the way we use pens. "There are changes everywhere, and the pen is unified everywhere." The work is novel and changeable, and there is no repetition.

Li Hang grew up in an art family and benefited a lot from his father Li Kuchan's art teaching. In his spare time, he studied his father's profound calligraphy and painting art and absorbed the essence of freehand brushwork art such as Xu Qingteng, Badashanren, Wu Changshuo and Qi Baishi. He studied under many masters of Chinese painting, such as the famous painter Xu Linlu and the famous artist Ling Zifeng. His works are vigorous and simple, with both form and spirit, and he is especially good at painting goshawk cranes. His works have participated in many national art exhibitions and published in newspapers and periodicals, and have been collected by collectors in the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea and other countries as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Representative works and biographies were selected in Selected Paintings and Calligraphy of Famous Artists in China and the Fourth Volume of China Talent Dictionary. Many works have been collected by Wu Changshuo Memorial Hall, Qi Baishi Memorial Hall and Shaoxing Lanting Calligraphy Museum.

Ink painting is fresh and fresh.

Beauty lies in similarity and difference.

Li Hang is the eldest son of Mr. Li Kuchan, an outstanding contemporary Chinese painting master and art educator in China. He is a generous, kind and prestigious old artist. Over the years, he has done a lot of work to inherit, develop and study the art of Li Kuchan, which is quite influential in Shandong painting circle and praised by his peers.

A few days ago, I saw Li Hang's elder brother's artistic achievements in painting over the years, and I felt admired. For various reasons, when he was young, Li Hang was admitted to the University of Finance and Economics and engaged in a career rarely related to painting and calligraphy. However, the influence of his parents gave him a natural feeling of giving up painting and made him devote all his spare time to the study of painting and calligraphy. Thanks to persistent efforts and persistent pursuit, he finally succeeded in embarking on the road of art and achieved impressive results.

Li Hang was born in a unique artistic family with a unique and good artistic environment. What he has achieved is absolutely inseparable from the influence of this environment on him.

Father Li Kuchan's art has a great influence on the whole country and even the whole world. Because of the artistic status of the elderly in colleges and universities, they have trained a batch of artistic talents for China's painting art all their lives. This huge artistic energy radiates on Li Hang, and its effect is self-evident. In addition, Li Hang has excellent artistic talent. From the time my father taught me, to the dribs and drabs of dyeing, weaving and business, through thousands of observations, I gradually understood the true meaning of my father's freehand flower-and-bird painting. Father's strict teaching is no different from formal classroom teaching. Father often takes him to Baishi's home, watching him paint and print, and listening to his teachings. Every word of the master left a deep memory for young Li Hang.

Calligraphy and painting are homologous. Father said that if you want to draw a good picture, you must write well. Therefore, the basic skills of his calligraphy and painting are particularly strict, requiring him to learn real cursive script. According to his father's instructions, Li Hang insisted on posting for many years. Every time he posts, he uses "positive" words on the back cover. So far, there are countless positive figures behind his tablet, which shows his efforts. He also educates his children in this way.

Li Hang's mother, Ling, was a great freehand flower-and-bird painter who was active in the 1930s and 1960s. She is a disciple of Qi Baishi. She is a very talented and kind woman. The style of the work is bold and free, full of pen and ink, and magnificent. The first time I saw her work, I didn't expect it was written by a female painter. I couldn't see the delicate spirit of women in her works at all. All the friends she contacted said that she was gentle and polite, showing everyone's demeanor. Li Hang inherited this kind and gentle nature from his mother. His uncle Ling Zifeng is a famous film director in China, and he is also good at painting and calligraphy. He is an artist with a comprehensive artistic education. His words and deeds have a direct impact on the growth of Li Hang.

In addition, there is a great painter whose help to Li Hang cannot be ignored, that is, Mr. Xu Linlu, a freehand flower-and-bird artist. Mr Xu is a close friend of Mr Wang. He is particularly concerned about the growth and development of Li Hang. Xu teacher is as strict as his own children, no matter from the way of art or life. Evaluating paintings for Li Hang, whenever I see a satisfactory work, I will gladly write an inscription on the painting. When he saw Song Yingtu, Lao Xu was very satisfied and wrote happily: "Li Hang's nephew wrote Song Yingtu in his father's style, and his views were very emotional." This long-term guidance and encouragement is particularly helpful to Li Hang.

An art school or an artist's works, whether in ideological connotation or artistic form, will be influenced by the painter's background, life experience and environment. Li Hang's cultural upbringing influenced and infected him imperceptibly. So this gene, together with his own understanding and diligence, has made it what it is today. In addition to inheriting the family style, Li Hang also devoted himself to studying the works and theories of painters of past dynasties, such as Shi Tao, Ba Da, Qing Teng, Wu Changshuo and Qi Baishi, who formed the painting style of Li Hang today.

I really appreciate a waterfowl picture drawn by Mr. Li Hang in Return to the Year, which is very concise from composition to pen. The shapes of these three kinds of waterfowl are in harmony with the dynamic changes, and the description of water is completely omitted, reaching the realm that silence is better than sound. The author skillfully uses dotted lines to decorate aquatic plants naturally in clear water, which increases the artistic conception of the picture. When Li Hang showed this painting to Mr. Ling Zifeng, Mr. Ling was full of praise and spoke highly of it. He wrote excitedly on the painting: "I often think hard before doing so, but Li Hang's paintings are beyond my ears." Uncle Ling Zifeng ".

Li Hang's works are simple, vigorous and powerful, and inherit the spirit of the bitter Zen old man. It can be seen that he appreciates the aesthetic concept of the elderly. The reappearance of both form and spirit corresponds to Qi Baishi's "too flattering, not deceiving the world" and "beauty lies between similarity and dissimilarity", which are also famous sayings often quoted by the disciples of Kuchan's education for the aged. In Li Hang's works, artistic images such as goshawk, osprey, bamboo chicken, lotus flower and myna all embody the above aesthetic concepts. Peaceful life is the theme of Li Hang's paintings. Quail's pen modeling inherits the technique of the old monk's bitter Zen, but it is innovative in composition and layout, giving it a new connotation of living and working in peace and contentment, reflecting the new atmosphere of today's harmonious society, and is deeply loved by the world.
