1, professional company
We know that professional design companies (or teams) mainly have design directors to lead people or interview your resume. Such companies include Rico, EICO, Ark, etc. These are professional design companies. There are also some professional teams, such as the design department of Xiaomi Company, the design department of Tencent Company and the design team of Sina Company. (I won't summarize the experience centers of CDC and UXC in detail here. In fact, I can't remember the meaning of the three letters they said.). We classify this category as a major, so don't pile up your works by quantity, but take quality, and would rather give up what you are not satisfied with than choose quality. Because the people who interview you here are all design directors or product managers with design foundation and certain design aesthetics, they need to know what your best state is and how much potential you still have to tap. If you put some half-baked works just to accumulate quantity, then the person in charge can tell you that they must think of you? Well done? Playing occasionally shows that your ability is not stable, because your aesthetics are not good enough, so you use it for an interview. In this way, I smashed my own foot. Remember, simplify things!
2. Enterprise company
It may be enterprises, institutions, foreign companies, etc. Need some daily design needs, even what you want? Art designer? . Their understanding of design is not profound. The person interviewing you is HR (Personnel Department). They don't know or understand your ability. They just want to know whether you can work, what you can do, how much you can do, and how to hire you cheaply. That's all. These companies are large enterprises, such as State Grid, China Mobile, Wanda Group and so on. The pressure is relatively low, and there are few positions such as design director. Even if there is, most of these people are naturally promoted because they have been in the company for a long time, not because of their ability, so they don't think much about their ability when interviewing designers. On the contrary, they may not want you with high ability. Why? Because they know they can't leave you here. If they take you out for work experience, you will fly away. Are there still people who are afraid? Gao gong Gai Zhu? Do you have enough ability to grab their throne? Of course, there are also great design figures here, but the proportion is relatively small. So when interviewing such enterprises and companies, you should have more works, more design directions and styles, and even some plagiarized works. If you can design the UI, LOGO, color pages of products, and set up a website to do company video editing, then you are the god in their hearts and let them know that you are capable and can bear hardships. Remember, the more the better!
Second, the source of the work:
1, fresh graduates
As a student, it is relatively painful to go out and find a job, because Bole is hard to find, although many recent graduates are swift horses. The first job is a great challenge. When I wanted to submit my resume, I found that there were too few business works. If senior three has just started school, it's not too late this year. First of all, if you follow a school studio, congratulations, you will have some works and experience. Although some teachers have shamelessly robbed you of your honor and treated you as a labor force, you don't have to care, because the strength is your own, as long as you work hard. At the same time, this is a good thing, and it also proves that the teacher who took you is a teacher or salty. However, after that, you should take part in the competition as much as possible, whether online or at school, make a set of things with your heart, be satisfied with yourself, and leave the ranking to fate. What matters is this process. Then take some small private orders. It doesn't matter how much money you have. The important thing is to do it with your heart. Don't follow the disk type or restrictions given to you by customers. You should do it according to the best quality, and even refer to some good works. The first draft of this heart is the opening brick for your future interview. However, the customer asked you to switch to shit works just for money. Copying is not recommended, but if there are really no other works, you can put some. Remember to mark it as plagiarism, even if it is 80% similar. This is a matter of character. Don't think you are smart enough to copy others' and put them on as your own. Directors who have been in society for so many years are not fools. Basically, that's enough. If you have excellent hand-painted or painted works, you can put some, not too many, just 2-3 high-quality ones. Don't panic because all the works don't exceed 10 sets. You know, you are a fresh graduate. If you have a lot of works, people will be suspicious, and people will think that you have taken others' works as fakes. Fresh graduates can't find jobs, but you can't let your first step in life be stained with stains.
2. To be transferred.
After working for two or three years, you find that your major is not what you like. Maybe you are facing this great change. I may have studied plane, programming, web pages, original paintings, etc. And I may want to switch to UI, but there are no similar works in these three years, and all the customers I contact are from the original industry. What should I do? In fact, don't worry, because your work experience in recent years is your harvest, but there are no related works. In fact, the previous article also said that what you have to do is to make a virtual case. The so-called virtual case, for example, if you want to go to Tencent, you can redesign a set of Tencent products, try to overthrow and change, and even change the small logo. If you can redo a set of expressions and then explain your own design ideas and ideas, it will be better for the other party to feel your thoughts and sincerity when interviewing Tencent.
