Fuzhou Sunshine International School, founded in 1997, is one of the first private international schools in China to obtain the license of Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools. The school has three departments, namely, primary school, junior high school and senior high school, with 43 faculty members1person and more than 3,000 students (5 students1person aided by Wenchuan earthquake, 47 students1person aided by Tibet Education Project, and more than 3000 students). The school is backed by the beautiful Wolong Mountain and overlooks the Minjiang River. Built on the mountain with beautiful scenery, the campus buildings were rated as "Top Ten Architectural Landscape in Fuzhou".
