Xia Yong, a native of Jingzhou, Hubei Province, is a researcher. His main academic expertise is philosophy of law, China's theory of democracy and legal system, and now he is engaged in the research of jurisprudence and human rights theory. 1989, 10 graduated from the Law Department of Southwest University of Political Science and Law in July,1studied in the Law Department of Peking University in June, 1992, and obtained a doctorate. He is currently the director of the Legal Research Office of the Institute of Law, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the director of the China Law Research Association and the director of the Research Center of Mass Communication Law.
