When Tianqiao was a scenic spot, many literati came here for sightseeing, gathering, drinking and writing poems. As early as the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the poet Huang Jingren's "Drunk Song of Going to the Restaurant Alone on the Yuan Night" described the scene of the overpass and lantern market at that time. Zhang Xiangtao, a poet in the Qing Dynasty, wrote Poems on the Spring Bridge in the fifth year of Jiaqing, saying, "It has been ten years since the willow was planted to open a canal, and the old news that the capital should make up for it. Looking at the wind from the south of the overpass, the spring water dissolves to the edge of the wine ... "It depicts the quiet scenery of the overpass. 19 14 years, the poet easily wrote "Tianqiao Song". Although he wrote other hopes between the lines, he wrote the scenery of the overpass incisively and vividly. One of them, "How many tourists don't remember their home when playing with drums", describes the scene where the Tianqiao market is full of gongs and drums and tourists linger. In addition, poets such as Sun Erzhun and Shao Baoqi in Qing Dynasty also had wonderful descriptions of Tianqiao. In modern times, two celebrities have a deeper relationship with Tianqiao:

Zhang Henshui, formerly known as Zhang Xinyuan, was born in Qianjiang, Anhui. He has been engaged in journalism for a long time and is a prolific novelist. He can combine lingering romance novels with thrilling martial arts legends; It can combine traditional chapter novels with western novels, movies and new drama techniques, thus winning many readers. His masterpiece "The Cause of Crying and Laughing" mainly reflects a dark and turbulent social aspect during the rule of Beiyang warlords through the love tragedy between a young Hangzhou native Fan Jiashu and Tianqiao singer Shen Fengxi in Beijing. The story of the novel begins with the protagonist Fan Jiashu taking a bus to Tianqiao, including Xiannongtan and Shui Xin Pavilion, acrobatic rap and various snacks on Tianqiao, and the meeting between Fan Jiashu and Shen Fengxi in the cypress forest of Xiannongtan. Therefore, anyone who has seen The Cause of Crying and Laughing will be deeply impressed by the overpass in the 1920s.

Lao She, formerly known as Shu Qingchun, is a famous writer and dramatist. His works are popular and concise, and he is known as a master of language. Lao She likes to take the "Jingle Car" (tram) to the overpass to watch the play, eat all kinds of snacks at the stalls, watch "Latin movies" on a long bench, and even like to go to the inn where farmers live and lie on the Datong shop to chat with the people at the bottom.
