What is flavomycin?
Aflatoxin is a chemical substance with strong biological toxicity, which is often produced by Aspergillus flavus and several other molds in moldy grains such as rice, beans and peanuts, and has a strong carcinogenic effect.

There are mainly four kinds of aflatoxins: B 1, B2, G 1 and G2. Improper storage of rice is prone to mildew and yellowing, resulting in aflatoxin. The aflatoxin is closely related to liver cancer, and it can also cause symptoms such as tissue blood loss and anorexia. B 1 is the most dangerous carcinogen, which is often detected in corn, peanuts, cottonseed and some dried fruits. More than 20 species have been found in AFT. AFT mainly pollutes grain, oil, animal and plant foods, such as peanuts, corn, rice, wheat, beans, nuts, meat, milk, dairy products and aquatic products.

Features:

(1) Physical and chemical characteristics

Aflatoxin B 1 and B2 emit blue fluorescence under ultraviolet light; Aflatoxin G 1 and G2 emit green fluorescence. The relative molecular weight of aflatoxin is 3 12-346. Insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents such as oil, methanol, acetone and chloroform, insoluble in petroleum ether, hexane and ether. Generally, it is stable in neutral solution, but slightly decomposed in strong acid solution, and rapidly decomposed in strong alkali solution with pH9- 10. The decomposition temperature of aflatoxin B 1 is 268℃, and ultraviolet rays are destructive to low concentration aflatoxin.

(2), highly toxic

The harm of aflatoxin to health after entering the body is mainly metabolized by the mixed functional oxidase system of endoplasmic reticulum microsomes of liver cells. Aflatoxin is not carcinogenic without metabolic activation, and erythromycin sleeve is called precancerous lesion.
