1974, 12-year-old Donnie Yen's family immigrated to Boston, USA, to learn various styles of martial arts. 1978 because Donnie Yen was influenced by Bruce Lee, he liked free fighting, but his mother was not good at it, so he was sent to Beijing Shichahai Sports School for two years [6]. Donnie Yen became the first non-Chinese mainland student and won six black belts in Taekwondo at school. 1982 After returning to the United States, he participated in the American Wushu competition and won the championship [3].
From 65438 to 0987, Donnie Yen came to Zhao Changjun Wushu College in Xi from the United States, and studied traditional routines with Zhao Changjun, the dean of the college, which laid the foundation for the future traditional Wushu. On his way back to America, he passed by Hongkong and was introduced to the director Yuan Heping. Since then, Yuan Heping and Donnie Yen have started a long-term cooperation.
