"When the plane flew over Yan 'an, it could not land because of the bad weather, but changed its course. Unfortunately, it crashed in Heichashan, Xing County, Shanxi Province. On the same plane 13 people, four American pilots were killed at the same time. "For more than half a century, historical records have been described according to this caliber. However, what is the truth behind the "April 8 air crash", and now there are new answers in the world.

"April 8th" Martyrs

Let's talk about who is on this plane first. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Committee members Wang Ruofei, Bo Gu Kailai (), Chief of Staff of the 18th Army (Eighth Route Army) and his entourage Wei Wanji, Zhao and Gao Qiong. There are American pilots Captain C·E· Langer, Weiss Dallas Wise, Mayo ·M·S· Mayer and Matt R Martin.

17 people were all killed in the air crash, including five famous people inside and outside the CPC:

After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, he devoted himself to domestic unity, went to Chongqing four times to negotiate with the Kuomintang, and signed the October 10th Agreement with Premier Zhou on behalf of our party.

Qin Bangxian (Bo Gu), 39, from Wuxi, Jiangsu, joined the Party from 65438 to 0925. 1946 went to Chongqing to participate in the Kuomintang-Communist negotiations in February, and was a member of the CPPCC Charter Review Group.

Mao Zedong wrote an inscription, "Die for the people, though it is glorious to die", and all parts of the country also mourned the "April 8th" martyrs.

An air crash that shocked China and foreign countries

1On March 4th, 946, Ye Ting, the commander of the New Fourth Army who had been imprisoned for five years since the Southern Anhui Incident, was finally released. On April 8th, Ye Ting was ordered to attend the Standing Committee of the Party in Yan 'an, and boarded the plane to Yan 'an with his wife Li Xiuwen, eldest daughter Ye Mei and youngest son A Jiu, and heads of relevant departments of the CPC Wang Ruofei, Bo Gu Kailai and Deng Fa. In the afternoon 1 pm, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China leaders, Zhu De, Ren, Peng, Chairman of the Border Region Government and other senior generals were waiting at Dongguan Airport. My lover Zhang also came to the airport with his nephew. The people of Yan 'an even rushed to the airport in droves to welcome several heroes, hoping to see the elegant demeanor of General Ye Ting.

It was foggy and drizzling on the mountain at that time. People looked up at the sky and waited eagerly, but there was no sign of the plane. Until 2 pm, there was a faint rumble of planes in the air, and the welcoming people immediately showed excited expressions on their faces. However, after the rumble of the plane's arrival, it disappeared again. Mao Zedong and others are very anxious. Doubt, anxiety and uneasiness hung over everyone at the airport. But people still waited in the drizzle hopefully until four o'clock in the afternoon, and then slowly dispersed.

Mao Zedong returned to Wang Jiaping, analyzed and estimated various possibilities with Zhu De, and sent a telegram to Xi. At about five o'clock, I got a reply from Xi 'an, and the plane never came back.

F- 103-7 is the funeral procession for the "April 8th" martyrs.

The team carrying the coffin is very solemn and stirring. In addition to the soldiers and cadres sent, there are a large number of young and middle-aged militiamen selected from villages within ten miles around. Where the road is wide, it is pulled by a carriage, and everyone carries it up and down the narrow road. Going back to the mountain is the only way. The mountain road is narrow and steep, so it is impossible to walk side by side. Only one person is allowed to carry the coffin in front, climb on his knees, and one person is allowed to push it through behind. Every time the coffin goes to a village, the villagers stop burning paper to pay homage. In this way, one village, one village, over the mountains, the coffin arrived near Lanxian airport in the early morning of 15. It only took more than 20 hours to transport the coffin, with a journey of 75 kilometers, and more than 500 people participated in the transportation.

Along the way, people paid tribute to the martyr's coffin and rushed to carry it, in order to repay the savior who helped the poor turn over. When the coffin passed by, thousands of people knelt on the road, stopped the road to pay homage, helped the coffin to cry and deeply mourned.

The truth lost in time and space

1April 998 18 Hong Kong Ta Kung Pao published Gu Yizhi's article "Memories of the" April 8 "air crash. Gu Kaizhi worked under the leadership of Zhou Enlai and Li Kenong in his early years. 1946 worked in jinsui public security bureau during the April 8 air crash. After the "April 8 air crash", he was ordered to go to the scene to be responsible for the on-site investigation and after-treatment work. He made a detailed report on the scene of the accident to the Central Committee. In his written report to the CPC Central Committee, he raised some unexplained questions:

First, the plane did crash in Heicha Mountain, not in the air, because the impact marks on the boulder on the side peak of Heicha Mountain were very clear and obvious, and the plane exploded and caught fire after hitting the mountain.

Secondly, according to the investigation results of the weather in Heichashan area on April 8, when the plane arrived at Heichashan that day, the clouds in the sky were very thick, and the driver was likely to hit the mountain because of poor visibility in this cloudy, rainy and snowy weather. If the plane had flown higher, it wouldn't have hit the boulder.

Thirdly, from the results of our repeated search on the scene of the plane accident, we didn't find any suspicious signs of man-made explosion.

Fourth, the plane originally landed at Xi 'an Airport to refuel, and took off for Yan 'an after a short stay. Fly north from Xi to Yan 'an. Why fly to the northeast, to the Black Tea Mountain east of the Yellow River?

At that time, a lost telegram was found in the wreckage of the plane, but the weather in Xi and Yan 'an was not bad at that time, and the American captain was an experienced pilot wearing the flying tiger armband, so it was impossible to make such a low-level mistake. All parties said that the Kuomintang spy must have tampered with the instrument, which led to the interruption of telecommunications, instrument failure and disorientation.

However, at that time, there was not enough evidence to prove that the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China showed great sincerity in promoting the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, leaving no excuses for the Kuomintang. In the news released by Xinhua News Agency at that time, he said that he wanted to hit a mountain in the thick fog. The truth of the "4.8" air crash has long been a little-known mystery.

What is the truth of the April 8 air crash? Du, a military spy who personally participated in the planning and lived in seclusion in Taiwan Province for many years, finally told the truth before he died, and let things come to light.

During the period of 1945, the reactionary Kuomintang authorities showed no sincerity, not only sabotaged cooperation militarily, but also sent a large number of spies from all sides to sabotage China's work. 1April, 946, * * * sent some important people from Chongqing to Yan 'an, such as Bo Gu Kailai and Ye Ting, but this transfer was targeted by Kuomintang military spies. At that time, Wang Pinghu, the head of the Kuomintang Air Force Dispatching Section, was a spy of the Kuomintang military system embedded in the Air Force. After receiving the notice of sending a plane from above, he knew that there were * * * important people on the plane and immediately called his immediate superior in Nanjing. The Kuomintang authorities learned that there was an important target of China on this flight. In order to sabotage the Communist Party of China (CPC)'s work, break the harmonious atmosphere of the negotiations between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, and create troubles to paralyze the negotiations in the Communist Party of China (CPC), military agents carried out an accurate assassination on this flight.

The leader of the military system directly found Du, the captain of the special team in the China-US Special Cooperation Office at that time. Du is well aware of the importance of this assassination, and its target is all senior leading cadres of the Communist Party of China, so he is also very cautious. He found the key agents of his subordinates and discussed how to make this operation beautiful and not easy to be detected. One of the spies who knew a little about the structure of the plane said, isn't it a perfect solution to destroy the flight instrument of the plane and let it fall off track naturally? So these evil black hands began their evil journey. First of all, they found Wang Pinghu, then the chief dispatcher, and found the flight records and archives of the C-47 transport plane he was riding. At the same time, they asked Wang Pinghu to arrange personnel to tamper with the routine inspection before the flight. Du found his spy Yang, who knew the machine maintenance business and asked him to pretend to be a machine maintenance worker and join the maintenance team. During the maintenance, he put the magnet on the back of the altimeter and magnetic compass of the plane unnoticed.

First, fly to Xi 'an to refuel and rest. On the way from Chongqing to Xi 'an, it began to rain lightly. Although flying for 3,000 hours, American Flying Tigers pilots noticed something unusual, but they didn't pay much attention. In fact, the height of the plane was already a little low. After resting and refueling in Xi 'an, the plane continued to fly to Yan 'an. At this time, there was hail and strong wind in the sky, which seriously affected the flight. In this case, Yang's magnet began to play a greater role. At first, the navigation system lost its function, which made the flight lose its direction and the flight direction could not be guaranteed. Originally, flying from Xi 'an to Yan 'an was supposed to fly north, but the plane flew to the northeast, to Xingxian County, Shanxi Province, and even to Heicha Mountain east of the Yellow River, which seriously deviated from the course. At that time, it was snowing on the mountain in Heichashan area, and the visibility was relatively low. However, the height of Heicha Mountain is only more than 2,000 meters, and the normal flying height of C-47 transport aircraft is more than 6,000 meters. As a senior pilot, it is unlikely to make such a low-level mistake. Obviously, the magnet on the altimeter also played a role. In this way, C-47, which carried many senior leaders of the Communist Party of China, had an accident under a deliberate conspiracy arrangement, and the truth was once little known for many years.
