It is also called "the four famous temples in the Central Plains" with Baima Temple in Luoyang, Shaolin Temple in Songshan and Suoguo Temple in Kaifeng. The Shuilian Temple, built in the 1960s, has been lost. Although there are records of inscriptions in past dynasties, they were rebuilt in the third year of Song Yuanyou (1088), the twenty-seventh year of Ming Jiajing (1548) and the eighth year of Qing Qianlong (1743). For thousands of years, Shuilian Temple has suffered from military disasters and the decline of bandits. According to the records of Baiyun genealogy, in the forty-ninth year of Qianlong (1784), the elder of Zong Lin Temple, who was a Taoist in Sichuan, returned to Wutai, passed by the foot of Tongbai Mountain, saw the peaks of Yunlin, and stayed in this mountain, where he accepted his disciples to preach the Dharma and gave lectures. Before 1949, the temple was abandoned. After 1949, monks settled here again. Until the Cultural Revolution, the monks dispersed, and this ancient temple with a thousand-year history was buried in dead wood and grass.

The abbot of Kannonji, Taiwan Province Province, saw the master pay for a jade Buddha, a string of jade beads from Taiwan Province Province and a top-class red ancestral dress. At this point, a magnificent Brahma Buddhist temple was completed.

There is water curtain cave near Shuilian Temple, which is an ideal place for tourists to gather for summer vacation. Water curtain cave is about 20 meters above the ground, and there is a clay statue of a macaque in it. The monkey's water came out and the wine jingled in the stone bowl. The mouth of the cave is covered with waterfalls pouring down from the top of the mountain, like a curtain of beads hanging down. There are steps and chains along the stone wall to climb up and enter the cave. Although the heat is still cool.
