2. The Northeast Forest Region is the Daxinganling, Xiaoxing 'anling and Changbai Mountain in the northeast, and it is the largest forest region in China, generally called the Northeast Forest Region. Here, the forest area stretches for thousands of miles, forming the Jyukai. Because it is in the northernmost part of the motherland, close to the cold zone, and has relatively the most cold-resistant conifers, it is the only large-scale larch forest area in China.
3. The southwest forest region mainly includes Hengduan Mountain at the border of Sichuan, Yunnan and Tibet and the southern slope of Himalayan Mountain in southeastern Tibet. Among them, the place with high virgin forest coverage rate is Medog County in the southeast of Xizang Autonomous Region.
4. Southern forest areas. The vast area south of Huaihe River in Qinling Mountains and east of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau belongs to the southern forest region (southeast forest region), the third largest forest region in China. Among them, Fujian Province has the highest forest coverage rate.
