Meiling ancient road has been in use since Qin and Han dynasties. In the fourth year of Kaiyuan in the Tang Dynasty (AD 7 16), Zhang Jiuling passed Meiling. Seeing that the mountain road was steep and impassable, he advised Tang Xuanzong to dig Meiling. At that time, due to the needs of economic development, Tang Gaozong asked Prime Minister Zhang Jiuling to be responsible for the expansion of Meiling Ancient Road. This project is huge, and through hard work, the Daguangling Ancient Road was finally opened. There is a "Lady Temple" at the foot of Nanshan at the new intersection of Gengling Ancient Road. There is also a touching story.
