The hospital was established in 197 1, formerly known as Taiyuan Health School and Shanxi No.2 Workers' Sanatorium. 1974 opened the outpatient building and admitted 50 inpatients. 1980 completed the inpatient building, and the number of beds increased to 200. 1984, increase beds in inpatient building. 1995 was rated as a second-class first-class hospital and passed the evaluation in 2002. In 2009, it was rated as a third-class B hospital, which is the second third-class A hospital in Lvliang (the first one is Fenyang Hospital). In 2003, it merged with the former Lvliang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine to form one or two medical areas.
