1977-82 studied China traditional landscape painting and sketch with Mr. Zheng and professors Ding Zhengxian of China Academy of Fine Arts.

1985-87 studied in the liberal arts department of the National Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg under Professor Bremen, a representative figure of German critical realism, and obtained 1987 master's degree in liberal arts.

1992 Representing Germany in the Art Exhibition of Sibila Expo.

1998 Dean of Hamburg International Media Art and New Media College.

In 2002, he served as German President of the School of International Media Design, Beijing Normal University, Zhuhai.

In 2004, he served as the German President of Tsinghua University -DFI International Media Design Advanced Seminar.
