1933 graduated from Jinling University with a bachelor's degree in agronomy.
1933 to 1935, researcher, Soil Research Office, Central Geological Survey.
1935- 1938 studied at the graduate school of the university of konigsberg, Germany, and obtained the doctor of science degree.
1938 to 1940, and returned to the soil research office of the Central Geological Survey as a technician.
1940- 1943, associate researcher, China Institute of Geography, part-time teacher, Fudan University.
1943 ——1952 Professor of Fudan University and Director of Agriculture Department.
1952 to 1984, professor, dean, vice president and dean of Shenyang Agricultural College.
1953 concurrently serves as the deputy director of the preparatory office of the Northeast Branch of the Soil Research Institute of China Academy of Sciences.
1954 concurrently serves as the director of agrochemical department of forestry and soil research institute of China academy of sciences.
After 1984, he ceased to be the president of Shenyang Agricultural College and became a full-time professor.
He died in Shenyang on June 7, 2008.
