Kang Kai (Joe), a college student from the Academy of Fine Arts, returned to his hometown with his classmates Yan Li (Zheng Liu), Wang Zhi (Wang Jiexi), Zhu Shi (Yulong), Mimi (Yang Lei) and Xin Dong (Song Jiang) to look for murals that are said to be left over from the Neolithic Age. There was an accident on the road, and three adults and a child drowned in a car that fell into the river. When Wang Zhi saw the body, he panicked and kicked the witch through the candle of the deceased. Several people fled under the strange and frightened eyes of the witch (played by Liu Guixian).

The students live in a hotel opened by their mother (Hao Yang) in the ancient town of Kang Kai. The next day, except Wang who caught a cold, everyone went to the cave to look for murals. Instead of finding murals in the cave, they saw strange totems and coffins. Everyone ran out in fear and went to the abandoned old house of Kangkai's family by the river to take shelter from the rain. Mimia exclaimed, and the students were horrified to find that Wang Zhi had died tragically in the old house, and the spell mark on the wall was the same as the strange totem in the cave. Everyone panicked and suspected that it had something to do with the car accident on the road. They were worried that Wang Zhi had broken the witch's ceremony and the ghost would come back to get back at Wang Zhi.

On the third day, Mimi was killed in the old house again, leaving the same spell mark on the wall, but Xindong fainted on the spot.
