Introduction to break dancing
On February 7th, 2020, at 65438, the Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee held a meeting and agreed to add four major events, including break dancing, skateboarding, surfing and rock climbing, to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Break dancing belongs to "sports dance". Nine days later, OCA immediately announced that break dancing had become the official event of Hangzhou Asian Games.
Break dancing can be divided into four parts: rock steps, leg movements, air freezing and overall movements. Compared with other forms of street dance, the advantage of break dancing as a sport is that a large number of movements can be measured and scored by standards. However, according to the rules customized by the World Sports Dance Federation, judges will not only pay attention to the skill and diversity of movements, but also the integrity, musicality and even personality of performances will become the judging criteria. Only the movements with difficulty and skill can't get high marks.
