Wulong District is under the jurisdiction of Chongqing Municipality. The Historical Evolution of Wulong District

During the Qin and Han Dynasties, it was under the jurisdiction of a magistrate and a county. In the twelfth year (249), Shu Han, the last ruler of Yan Xi, was in Hanping County, which belonged to Fuling County. In the third year of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (347), Hanping County was incorporated into the county. During the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Hanping County was restored from the Southern Qi Dynasty to the Northern Zhou Dynasty, belonging to Fuling County.

In the Sui Dynasty, Wendi moved to Hanping County in Fuling in 583. In the 13th year of Huang Kai (593), it was renamed Fuling County, belonging to Ba County.
