The designer of the euro symbol
The designer of the euro symbol is Artur Eisenmenger, the former chief painter of Luxembourg's official publishing office. He wrote the blue European Union flag with a gold star ring. As early as the end of 1974, he was ordered to draw European related patterns, including the design scheme of European single currency symbol. It was not until 1997 that Eisenmenger was surprised to see on TV that the new symbol of European single currency presented to the public by European Commission President jacques santer turned out to be his work 20 years ago.

A former editor-in-chief of EEC art design claimed that he created this symbol as a representative symbol of Europe, which is controversial.
