Lukentang was the 18th Jinshi in Qing Dynasty, who was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu (now Suzhou, Jiangsu). Shunzhi seven years (1650) was born into an intellectual family of feudal landlords. His predecessor lived in Gui 'an (now Huzhou, Zhejiang), and his grandfather Lu moved to Suzhou after his death. Lu Yanqi is famous in the village, and his character and knowledge are praised. He is kind and generous, good at doing good deeds and helping the poor. Everyone in the village praises him as a man of virtue. He also loves books, is knowledgeable and proficient in astronomy and geography. Yan Lu, Lu Kentang's father, was bold, agile and resourceful, and was once awarded the title of Qingxian in Wuxian by patent. Lukentang, the only child in the family, was deeply cared for and received a good education since childhood. In addition, he studied hard and was eager to learn, reading thousands of words of ancient books every day, and cultivated a superhuman memory ability that he will never forget. All these laid the foundation for him to successfully pass the imperial examination. In the year of weak crown, Lu Kentang became a doctoral disciple, that is, he became a scholar. In the 16th year of Kangxi (1677), he was given a tribute and sent to imperial academy to study. In the twentieth year of Kangxi (168 1), he participated in the Jiangnan rural examination of Xinyouke, entered the top five and became the champion. Three years later, he was awarded the Scholar Officer of Yingshang County, but he didn't arrive at his post and took the B-Ugliness Examination in the 24th year of Kangxi (1685). It's an exam in the department. Before the establishment of the list, the emperor ordered 10 test papers to be submitted to Hou Qin, and the submitted test papers were labeled as the first to tenth places by the examiner. Emperor Kangxi approved that the first session of Lukentang was mellow, the second session was steady and the third session was good. Lukentang was appointed as the first place and won the first prize in the palace examination. Haining, Zhejiang ranked second, and Huang, a native of Liyang, southern China, ranked third. First place, the court awarded the official Lukentang imperial academy. Since then, Lukentang has been staying in Beijing as an official. He was fair and meritocratic, and won all the celebrities. Everyone praised him for his impartiality and strictness. Therefore, after returning to Beijing, the Imperial Academy recommended him to be an official of the Japanese official residence, explaining China classics to the emperor, answering the emperor's inquiries and recording the emperor's daily words and deeds. Thanks to his dedication, Kangxi has been promoted continuously for thirty years (169 1). First promoted to Right Chunfang and Right Zhongyun, then promoted to Left Zhongyun, and then became a lecturer and an official to a scholar. When Lu Kentang was an official in Beijing, he sorted out the classics in the pavilion, and the words he wrote were quite popular with his colleagues. He writes articles with all his heart, leans on horses, is broad, sharp and frustrated, and his writing is unstoppable. Zhang Boxing spoke highly of it in the Tomb Table of Lukentang, which is not a good word for the deceased. Judging from Zhang Boxing's handling of the trial case of Xinmaoke in Jiangnan township in the fifty years of Kangxi (17 1 1), he is by no means a vain writer. Ding Mao, after having obtained the provincial examination in Jiangnan, the examiner Zuo Bifan, the deputy examiner Zhao Jin, the list examiner Xie Yuan Liu Jie, Suzhou Pilot. There are 13 people, many of whom are children of Yangzhou salt merchants, and public opinion is noisy. Most examiners believe that examiners take bribes to get through the joints. All the candidates gathered in the Xuandian, which made people carry the statue of the God of Wealth into the mansion and lock it in the Minglun Hall. And strive for joint language to ridicule, Zuo Qiuming as blind as a bat, but Zhao Zilong is timid. Write the examiner and the deputy examiner. Some people even pasted the plaque of Hiram's hospital with paper and changed the word Hiram's hospital to sell it. Gifts from local officials are also suspected of taking bribes. But he actually detained the leader of the candidate, Xia Erjian, and wanted to be convicted of false accusation and rebellion. The court ordered Zhang Peng 'ao, an important official, to cooperate with the governor in Yangzhou to hear the case, and Peng Ao's son was the magistrate of Anqing Prefecture, and wanted to settle the case because of protecting Kerry and others. It coincides with the arrival of Jiangsu Governor Zhang Boxing, who is determined to find out the case. During the trial, Zhao Jin's family confession involved a ceremony. Zhang Quan impeached Zhang Quan for deceiving the king and disobeying the imperial edict, but impeached Zhang Quan for other things. The emperor issued an imperial edict to dismiss the two men, while Ao was still in charge of the case. Iraq actually said that Zhang Boxing's impeachment was false and should be dismissed. Gary was not guilty. The emperor also wrote a letter to today's ministers, Mu Helun and Zhang Tingshu, for their review, and their opinions were consistent with those of Zhang Peng. Emperor Kangxi thinks that Zhang Boxing is the first upright official in the world, and this case is doubtful. He ordered Jiuqing to remonstrate with Yagong, demanding a new trial of the case and finding out the truth. Zhang Boxing returned to Jiangsu as governor and was dismissed. Separate punishment for cheating. Zhang Boxing's upright and upright conduct shows that his eulogy to Lukentang is credible.

Lu Kentang is not only praised for his knowledge, but also admirable for his virtue. Filial piety, caring for brothers and helping the poor are the moral requirements of feudal society and the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation, which have been praised so far. Lu Kentang's behavior is a model of feudal morality. History shows that he is filial to his friends by nature and devoted to benevolence and righteousness. My father died early, so I can wholeheartedly support my grandfather and my half-brother, showing sincere love. For young orphans and adults, especially sisters, a generous dowry must be prepared for anyone who gets married. If the husband is too poor to marry, sweep the museum to welcome him. The people in the imperial clan's rural neighborhood have short life spans, so they owe time and inheritance. He takes his kindness and love for granted. At that time, people thought that his virtue and talent were worthy of being the top scholar. Emperor Kangxi praised Jiayun: Lukentang is knowledgeable and has a good character. When Lukentang returned home due to illness, Emperor Kangxi sent Hasan Sambo, a bachelor of cabinet, to visit him with a doctor. Thanks to the courtesy of the emperor, Lukentang then stayed in Beijing to work. In the thirty-fifth year of Kangxi (1696), he died in the palace.
